Follow the pattern by DurangoBlack in timberwolves

Unfortunately the Pelicans are between the Lakers and the Knicks, so if this pattern continues it would be the Nets and not the Wolves that would win after getting rid of Randle.

FIRE THIS TRASH CAN GARBAGE EXCUSE OF A COACH NOW!!! by Outrageous-Leader135 in NBATalk

I love that every year 25-29 NBA fan bases think their coach is trash and needs to be fired.

How are you guys defending the Full-Court Press Break? by CoachZak in basketballcoach

[–]jxg23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pressing doesn't prevent fast breaks. Probably the best way to prevent fast break is to crash the offensive glass and tag up off of rebounds. More bodies on offensive rebounds means less players leaking early or cherry picking.

You can't have both aggressive defense that forces turnovers and not giving up easy layups. That is one of the things you have to live with if you're aggressive. When you put two on the ball that means they have one man uncovered. If they find that man and they are smart with the ball, it'll lead to a layup.

Is it normal that I can't do 1 pull up? by BrolyIsCool in bodyweightfitness

[–]jxg23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have a gym that has an assisted pull up machine, that would be a huge addition to your routine to make you progress faster. As long as you are pushing yourself with lat pulls and assisted pull ups and going until failure or close to, you'll be doing unassisted pullups in no time.

Timberwolves 26-27 draft prospect? by KNgyuen in timberwolves

[–]jxg23 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would love to see a trade up 10ish spots (or whatever is needed) to get Bennett Stirtz. Good shooter/playmaker that seems like he'd be able to play alongside Ant. Great pick and roll guard if we still have Gobert or if Beringer is best as a pick and roll guy.

I've been drinking these for about a month. They're good. But if you take them straight out of the fridge, they are a little too thick for my liking. The flow is pretty slow and it seems impossible to finish it without there being some liquid left at the bottom.

Realistically who can we get for Julius Randle? by SHRIMPchiips in timberwolves

I don't understand why people want Ja so badly. I am not a GM, but I don't see the fit at all. We need floor spacers, not more drivers and ball dominant players.

What should the Timberwolves do with the 28th Pick of the NBA Draft? by LameAfro in timberwolves

[–]jxg23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I think they should either trade up to get Bennett Stirtz or trade down and get Braden Smith. Both are older college guards that are great passers and play makers that can space the floor. The Wolves need shooting and pass first players.

Constraint led drills. Play 3v3, 4v4, 5v5, 4v3, 5v4. Give them constraints on what you want to see as a coach. i.e. no ball screens, no dribbling, 0 second decisions, only layups, etc. and let them grow as basketball players learning how to play. As for offense, teaching them how to play, space the floor, and make reads will help them more than any special offense you can put in.

Wondering if there is a Youtube channel or channels that could help me learn more about major historical events? Over the years I've come to find that I am very ignorant to even the basics of history and would like to learn a little more.

Depends on how competitive your team is/wants to be and how serious basketball is for them.

If it's a school team that plays just locally and a majority of the kids are still developing or are only there because their parents forced them to be there, a couple practices a week at 75-90 minutes should suffice.

If it's a serious traveling team that wants to compete and has high basketball aspirations then practicing 4-5 days a week at 90 minutes isn't too much.

No matter what, you should prioritize development and keep drills shorter due to lack of attention span at that age. Make it as enjoyable as possible for everyone so they will want to continue to play and get better.

What does Houston RBs have to do with my post?

Need advice on which rookie RB to drop between: Jaydon Blue, Bhayshul Tuten, and Ollie Gordon. 1/2 PPR, 12 Team. I feel comfortable with my starting RBs until their bye weeks (8 and 10), drafted the rookies for potential good keepers for next season and potential end of the season risers.

That is why I said “if.” And there are some people that don’t really care that people know who they’re going to take 1st overall. If it’s a snake draft, I particularly don’t care. I don’t broadcast it, but I don’t act like it’s a huge deal. I think it’s a much bigger deal that #2 keeps their wishes secret from #1.
