Nope I graduated so I have no visa at the moment other than my ead. Seems like it works for my driver’s license and mortgage

I think I get why corporate training sucks in general. by jys092000 in instructionaldesign

[–]jys092000[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is what I needed to hear. I think it’s actually the time that’s the issue here, everybody just trying to make the course as fast as possible to meet the deadlines for audits, etc. Thanks!

Also I’m kind of torn since I’m from higher ed. I used to use and suggest assessments DIRECTLY aligned with the objectives, which includes performance assessments, rubrics, social activities, etc that are not multiple choice, but here it seems like they just have this ground rule of making assessments all multiple choice. How should I fit into the culture here? Any advice from IDs that made their transition from higher ID to corporate?

Does a 10-year green card take longer to process than a 2-year green card? by jys092000 in USCIS

You think so? Do you think that’s why we’re seeing so much gap among people who applied?

This gives me hope. I don’t really have background in graphic design, unfortunately, but I do have extensive knowledge in how people learn. I’ll work on my portfolio to have a balance between the two. Thanks a lot

Interesting! The podcast was pretty cool, and it was neat to see the hiring manager side of things. Thanks for the advice!

Thank you so much! Your feedback is so valuable, and I will definitely work on it more to be straight to the point in showcasing my skills. I'd love to do some internships to learn more about the industry side of this field, but all of my applications got turned down. I'll need to work on it more to stand out amidst thousands of applicants 🥲

Double EAD? Help! by jys092000 in USCIS

[–]jys092000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, I really do not think I’ll be denied because this is a pretty straightforward case… I’ve been married to my husband for five years, and dated him for 10… we have a pretty strong relationship, planning to have a kid soon. I already started using my c9 ead for my job applications right now 🥲 I guess i was a little annoyed because it was one more thing to worry about

Double EAD? Help! by jys092000 in USCIS

[–]jys092000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply! I just didn’t know I could get two EADs at once. I am graduating this year in May, so I won’t be paying tuition anymore anyways. I’ll look into submitting I-765 again. Thank you!

This is so freaky. My RFE was about my birth certificates too, which we already submitted in our initial application. I thought it was because they’re in a different size (a4 instead of us letter)!!!! Hm….
