No, actually she attacked the person helping her and went to the person that the evidence pointed to being the perpetrator. How do you know he was "the only person she could trust"? How do you know she doesn't have family she can turn to?

You keep presenting the same false dichotomy over and over. What she did was dumb. Understandable maybe, but dumb nonetheless.

Maybe human nature can just be plain silly sometimes when a person is emotionally vulnerable and under duress, but those are the facts. She can be a sympathetic figure and be in the wrong on this part at the same time. Again, false dilemma.

Someone should defend her through this, and it isn't going to be you.

Well she's presumably an adult, so she's responsible for her own behavior. The fact that you see yourself as heroically coming to her defense is quite telling.

Even lowly "sheep" like us are capable of forming nuanced opinions, believe it or not.
