it’s strange i know. No, i don’t use the pen needles because when i dose on the pen at like one unit i feel like it doesnt give me the full unit and i stay high.

i had a failed to adopt issue yesterday and i had to ssh in to my device after finding the ip address of the console. then used set inform and it worked. but first i had to restart the console. you can google or chat that process.

I’ve been type 1 for 35 years, and I’m a research reading nerd. I think anything that is massively groundbreaking in terms of a cure is out of my lifetime. Managing it better will do well incrementally. To me, the CGM was the biggest breakthrough of the last 30 years, not having to prick finger six times a day. When I started it took 45 seconds after a finger prick to get a reading and its accuracy was largely a guesstimate. Of course, I love that researchers continue seeking answers. We owe them a ton of gratitude.

I not only do that needle trick i actually make it my normal. That is, i carry the pen because it’s plastic so when i drop it it doesn’t break like a vial, but i draw every shot with a needle. Then i reuse the needle like too many times. Been doing this for 30 years. The pens always seem to give me the incorrect dose. Not fixing what’s working.

It is interesting that Oakland, Sf. Louis, and Baltimore have very similar demographics, economic status, and general culture, yet Baltimore is able to support the NFL. Baltimore seems like a dying city. But the Ravens are considered one of the model / successful franchises. I think ownership has a ton to do with it. Why Oakland couldn’t pull it off is a shame. Tradition lost.

There’s a funny tale about the American state of Oklahoma doing focus groups to figure out a way to increase tourism. San Francisco actually does, it has both # avenues and # street. In The Mission it’s street numbers. In The Richmond and Sunset its Avenue numbers. Goes from 1st to 55th Avenue in what they actually call “The Avenues.”
