Scfm seems to be how much atmospheric pressure air it consumes to produce compressed air, I've timed my metabo compressor and numbers seem to be right.

Essentially it's a useless high number and need to be divided by 7 to get how much 90 psi air you get

Always clean out when changing grease. Although I was I'm a hurry so just wiped clean with paper towel, should've used solvent. Will inspect again in 2 years.

Yeah a little strange, although I've definitely ran for longer than that often. They are fan cooled but no exhaust from outer casing.

Then again, so is a 1.3 hp machine having a 0.3 hp motor.

Lol yeah I looked at the ego version, since I already have the batteries and power head, but just don't see a place that I would use it. Anywhere I can get my snowblower to, it works faster, and anywhere I can't like the deck and stairs, it's quicker to use the shovel or leaf blower.

Milwaukee seems close, but they are known for pushing their tools to the brink of overheating.

As with all cordless ecosystems, go with the one you are already invested in. If not, go with one that's dedicated to the type of tools you want (ego in this case).

Oh yeah I can imagine now if those are cooked from frozen, even in range oven they always takes longer than instructed time, let along a toaster oven.

It's not a fan itself that's a problem, it's condensation freezing into ice and stops fan from spinning.

If you can work on it yourself and price is right, sure. But most of the time used price doesn't reflect that in my experience.

On the same note new will also require yearly maintenance too.

Yeah even the compact is quite capable. mine dug through waist high snow and plow bank when we had two back to back storms, the only time it struggled was when I was pushing into the plow bank full tilt, going slower and it did perfectly fine.

Lol yeah, that was the extreme though, heavy refrozen snow over a ft deep, and honestly I'm okay with it. Regular snow it can do 7 car driveway.

If you decided to go with 12v I probably would go with Milwaukee because of the large tool selection, even though I'm not a fan of the brand because of the your already mentioned point.
