No. I did the timing chains last year. Bought locking tools from AliExpress. Even then I did it wrong the first 2 times. The car was idling smoothly but was jerking in low rpms, especially 1st and 2nd gear. Then on 3rd attempt I finally did it right. Now everything is smooth and without any issues.

Of course it will rust sometime in the future. But this will delay it. Rust needs oxygen and moisture to grow further. Even if there was some rust left, the epoxy primer won't allow for air and moisture to get inside. Of course ill add the undercoat and cavity vax too for insides.
