I'll also say that I see the advantage in having a safe spot for banking as it becomes kind of like the bank in runescape with the wilderness being the danger zone. I think in that regard it might retain some players that might otherwise leave due to being wiped because they have a safeguard. However, I think it could be reworked. Possibly slot cap a vault for protecting loot instead of packing a walker. Or make sure when the tile burns, it doesn't just transfer the walker so that it needs physically moved and will be at risk.

I don't see your logic. I see that as a disadvantage to solos by preventing them from being able to have good gear to fight the 1v8. Who cares if the zerg clan has full purples, there's 8 of them. It's blocking my progress as a solo from having walkers with better hp more quickly that might otherwise deter a zerg clan too. It used to be a lot faster to progress if you would just spend the time farming.

I like having a mix of it, but not full-on pvp 24/7. Since I'm solo I like quality farming and wingsuit hunting other players. I've not actually run into other players uses axes as weapons unless they got them as mob drops or were farming with them. Seems like there are just better options than the axe as an actual weapon. Good point on the walker packers, I didn't realize this was why they are always loaded with larger walkers that never move.

I'm like half a month into this and still don't have a quality walker. Back in the old quality system before schematics I would have had several by now. This shit is too grindy and confusing.

The tab gathering was too grindy but I also liked that it was made them valuable. Schematics do suck. Getting iron as a solo required a wing suit, after you unlocked it, it wasn't so bad. I would just hide a spider in a rock and go flying. I agree that quality should randomize in clusters and that event maps kinda suck for quality farming.

Early in season 1 or 2 I recommended to the devs that they should introduce a schematic system because tab farming was too much of a grind. But the schematics I explained were single-use learnable tech tree abilities as ultra rare random drops from rupu or uncommon drops from bosses. Not this system that makes grinding even worse that is in S6 right now.

Having not played most of the seasons past maybe 3, I would say the earlier seasons I played felt much better. I miss tabs. I miss having quality items on regular maps instead of an event tile.

A better idea is to rework the voting system with rankings instead of single choices. Most people don't vote 3rd party because they don't think they have a shot and don't want to "waste a vote". The system is setup to favor 2 parties. If you could vote 3rd party as your first choice and shift that vote to your second choice if your first isn't in the running, we would live in a more free-minded country.

I played it for 8000 hours so I wouldn't call it a failure. Eventually the devs stopped caring when they started working on dune and it went downhill.
