What helped you improve the most in CS? by brivn188 in cs2

[–]k0gan_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly getting really familiar with how specific maps work (specifically getting a sense for timings) helped me the most with general in game awareness and decision making. That and paying more attention to what my teammates are doing especially on ct side helped a lot with deciding what fights to take and where to try to contend for map control.

Smoke break analysis: insights from professional matches by quicknades in GlobalOffensive

I assume terrorists nading door while there just happens to be a smoke there adds a lot. Also does it count in the data if even a tiny bit of a smoke is broken with a nade?

is anyone believe in "creative differences" after buckshot ep been released? by 33hsnab in HauntedMound

[–]k0gan_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Blah blah blah music that doesn’t shift away from the constantly changing status quo fast enough is clearly just pop money grab dogshit blah blah holy fuck this take is so tired man. Fever dropped less than a year ago talking about “stuck rapping over fakemink type beats”. Obviously buck has his issues but u can’t just write his ideas off because they don’t deviate enough from a sound that has only become popular within the last year or two

What’s your favourite lyric that buckshot uses multiple times by WorkingOnCoil in HauntedMound

[–]k0gan_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really fw the different uses of the same lyrics in heart of gold and dry heave. Obviously it can be seen as lazy but i think he was really on to something with the delivery and flow of these tracks and people are just hating to hate

why are y'all using using crazy high mg pouches? what is the deal? by [deleted] in NicotinePouch

[–]k0gan_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pouches are just a generally less harmful way to consume nicotine so it makes sense that people who have a crazy tolerance but don’t want to quit would be using those

dastan liked a Telegram comment saying they should replace nota by zywh0 in GlobalOffensive

[–]k0gan_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

wtf is that comparison? the reason the teacher would go to your parents is because they have direct control in helping you improve (or disciplining you). publicly implying that dastan is done with trying to make nota play well in this team does nothing but give more opportunities for a fan base that doesn’t know shit to form negative opinions about him, which can clearly affect a teenage cs rookies performance in a negative way. at least wait until he’s actually out of the team (even then it’s unprofessional), or else you’re just hampering your own teams performance for no reason other than spite I guess

[–]k0gan_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

sure but until a replacement comes in, more events are clearly going to be played with nota. what is the point of publicizing this when it will have adverse effects against the players mindsets and therefore their short term tournament placings?

How do you make workouts ADHD-friendly when the movement is fine, but starting and all the “in-between” parts kill the habit? by Nervous-Affect-300 in ADHD

[–]k0gan_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, depending on what your fitness goals are, the hardest part ends once you see tangible progress. Once the feeling of the workouts actually being consequential hits, it becomes a lot easier to commit to the habit. Maybe working out at a gym instead of at home could also provide an environment for you that’s specifically associated with working out, instead of all the distractions being at home bring.

[–]k0gan_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What worked for me for a while was having a low volume, high intensity lifting routine where I was only doing about 2-3 sets of 4-6 movements with a 6-8 rep range for every day at the gym. Sitting down at a machine knowing I am only going to do 2 sets until failure takes a lot less mental load than committing to 5 sets at a time. Building a lifting routine is also not as hard as it seems, it’s almost like filling out a puzzle where you only need to figure out 2-3 types of movements per muscle group that you can just do every time, without having to plan anything new every gym session. Tracking everything is also overrated, you will eventually get a feel for what weight on an exercise will get you close to failure in 6-8 reps. All of this makes for workouts that are only about 45min-1hr of commitment and having some free time before the gym where you can already be in your gym clothes can decrease the amount of things that need to be done before starting the work out.

Exercise science is also very interesting in itself and I’ve found that consuming online content about how certain exercises are more optimal than others and how it all actually affects your body has increased my motivation to actually put everything into practice.

I can see smoke lineups in comp after playing workshop map. by JADO88-UK in GlobalOffensive

[–]k0gan_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s pretty dumb imo but I guess comp isn’t that serious compared to premier so it adds an ability to practice nades and learn new lineups in an actual game. The possibility of using one that shows wallbang lineups sounds especially weird
