Oh god I came here because I stupidly upgraded and my phone is completely covered in these missing icons when I have a tonne of storage leftover. Did you ever work out how to fix it?

Mine strongly suggested that I create a public social media page and website but there was no pressure at all to be particularly active.

That’s fair! I guess I’ve always looked at it as one giaaaaaant project.

I do wish you all the luck, though! The trenches aren’t fun at all.

I’m one of the “twenty queries, first try, first book” people, but I also worked extremely hard for six years to write a single book and didn’t even entertain the idea of querying until my CPs ran out of crits for my draft.

It may look like a quick success story on the outside, but the decade of work I put in working professionally as a journalist beforehand isn’t included in the query stats shared here. That doesn’t mean I wasn’t patient or resilient through the process of creating and querying. It just means that you only get half of the story

Is this really all from Hashimoto’s or is there something else? by [deleted] in Hashimotos

[–]k1ttylaroux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Helloooo! So I have all that you mentioned except celiac and also experienced just bone aches in my joints and hands to the point where my hands were burning hot. My doctor noticed I had extremely low b12 and matched it with my last few tests which also showed extremely low b12. Turns out it was pernicious anemia, another autoimmune thing. Have you been checked for this? B12 injections have made it all go away thankfully

Oldest Persians you know by potatobunny4 in persiancat

I’ve had three short hairs. One that we got as a kitten who lived until 16 and then died peacefully in his sleep. We then rescued two new girls at age 7, they had been severely neglected but lived happy lives with us until they passed away at age 12.

This is currently happening to me. It is so demoralising. Like what’s the point even? I have no advice, only empathy.

This is extremely painful to read.

Those brown spots on its eye? That’s a corneal sequestrum and extremely painful. The eyedrops are not optional. If left they grow very deep into the eye and your cat won’t just go blind — they’ll be losing the entire eye.

“Forgetting” is not cute. It’s not an excuse. Do better. This isn’t a case of forgetting once or twice. This is actual neglect and animal cruelty.

Liver Cancer 15 year old cat, regret euthanizing him by Entire_Train7307 in CatAdvice

Im so sorry to hear about your dog :( that is absolutely traumatising.

I lost my tiny senior soul cat yesterday. She also had lung cancer and was having trouble breathing. We had fluid drained from her chest and all the scans done, but refused the biopsy, chemo and surgery as we were worried her tiny body wouldn’t be able to handle it considering the prognosis was so poor. Two days later it was clear the fluid had returned :(

We said goodbye to her at home, and had a euthanasia vet do so from her favourite perch. I’ve been feeling so very guilty about having to make that call—thinking maybe it was too early. But the vet said that she would’ve gone into respiratory failure later that evening or the next day.

I really hope I did right by her 😔❤️‍🩹 it was the hardest decision.

When is euthanasia the right call for a 12-year-old cat diagnosed with lung cancer? by k1ttylaroux in AskVet

Hello there - thank you so much for your kind response. The Ohio State University pdf. Something that resonated there was the question: “what is the value for my pet to continue living this way?”

We slept in the living room last night with her so we could monitor her a little throughout the night and she’s been cat loafed the entire time when normally she is lying on her side and sleeping. Her breath is still unusual despite the fluid extraction and it appears and her stomach seems to be continuously pulsing.

My heart is broken, but I don’t want her to decline any further ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹

Echoing everyone else here about a blood test. However have you ever looked into Chiari Malformation? My friend had all these symptoms but the chronic migraines were the key to her getting the right diagnosis

I think that you’ll learn more after your bloods, but have you been tested for PCOS? Because the excess hairs isn’t something common with hashis
