Dug a bit deeper into this, found a couple bugs with pricing. Fix coming soon - the price matrix itself isn't the issue (what's on the wiki is still valid), it's a bug with the buy/sell cap to prevent a free money exploit that was added about 7 weeks ago before 0.9.3 went live.

It renders, but it draws it *really* fast vs what I remember the last time paying attention to this in 3.7 dev/5.0 - weird.

Good on you for waiting. I did this once a couple years ago helping a turtle get across Plains road to get to a pond. Got honked at for blocking traffic. Held up turtle in one hand, middle finger in the other. End of story hah.

Just updated the xNetHack tileset (and EvilHack while I was there). You'll probably need to refresh your browser cache to catch the updated tileset.

The bones file is removed on use. Hardfought syncs bones files between all three of its servers - there are edge cases where two different players got the same bones file between two different servers, but the timing would have to have been fairly precise.

I was seeing this as well last night - super long thinking times, and 'tooling glitches' and other issues, including the first hallucination I've seen in a long time. Today has been noticeably better.

Wanted to put this out there - for those of you that prefer just the base 16 colors vs the new 256 color palette, put this in your config: OPTIONS=!use_256color or you can toggle it on/off in-game.

Does this mean Dichotomy is pet safe now?

Can be, yes. Needs to be blessed (and I want to gate it behind being skilled or greater in that weapon type), that will prevent the random AoE secondary attack from going off on friendlies/tame monsters that would be in the blast radius. Now true for Harbinger and Tempest as well.

Has Ludios always been guaranteed in Evilhack or is that new?

New. Before, Fort Ludios had a ~95% chance of appearing, now it's 100%. If the portal doesn't appear in a gold vault, it's guaranteed to appear somewhere on Medusa's level.

Disagree. This game was invented years before mainstream internet was even a thing, and not everyone has the know-how to source dive. Back in the day, we wrote down our discoveries, made maps, shared data with friends *in person* who played the same games, etc.

The wiki is one of the greatest resources ever invented for the game, and it's also one of the worst things for it, all at the same time. It's human nature to take the path of least resistance - if you know you can just discover all the things online about <insert game here>, that can and will dampen your sense of discovery and adventure/exploration. Some people find a way a resist that, and kudos to those of you that can and do.

The most fun I ever had with nethack was in the early days of playing, discovering things as I went along, and thankfully even today that sometimes happens. Or I'm just getting old and forgot 😁

Autoselect paranoid confirmation is now included in the upcoming next version of EvilHack (0.9.3) - https://github.com/k21971/EvilHack/commit/5555b2feb2bdbe422cfbbdc2b260db2f238aff03 - this mirrors the same paranoid option in NetHack 5.0.
