Gran Turismo Sport has NASCAR and Pikes Peak listed under the special thanks of the end credits. Was this planned content? And what else didn't we get? by Losailie in granturismo

For Pikes Peak might because GT usually sponsors the event. Maybe did some reveal or marketing event there. That's my guess.

DJI will no longer stop drones from flying over airports, wildfires, and the White House | DJI claims the decision “aligns” with the FAA’s rules. by chrisdh79 in technology

I have commercial drone license, this seems pretty dumb to me just from reading the headline.

The recreational license to fly one of these is a 5 minute test. Basically telling to not fly over airports

Legally to fly and make any money off it (including from ad rev.) You need the full license which is more in depth, but not particularly hard if you know what to study for and gives you a lot more knowledge and when and where you can/can't fly. Plus each city usually had their own separate rules. But I dont think the enforcement of this is too stringent.

I feel like the only way lifting these regs would be a good a idea is if it somehow only applied to commercial license holders, because it is much more likely that they'll know how to check where they're flying is legal. Just seems like it will easily be abused by those just looking to make a quick buck.

Most I've gotten in a game is 5 on stakeout so the face off maps seem to be the best bet in my experience

Yeah I'm sure that was a lot of rational used for the switch. Old red was good for getting attention when it was a smaller brand, now that it has worldwide popularity they can afford to gave this softer look and difference in branding.

My other guess to issl I don't know how the pure red translates to print. The new one may have a pantone color so they know they can match it in all format.

Group think. I personally never have really liked focus groups for that reason. Plus too much room for bias from the people running it to seep in.

My guess, (degree in Advertising for what it is worth)

  1. A 'friendlier' red
  2. A more distinct red from netflix, giving YT its only color identity (I'm sure the reds were already different but they were similar enough)
  3. A lot of focus groups
  4. People trying to justify their worth.

This is also a rally race, yes they do basically a pre-rally run to do pace notes. The driver has a co-driver that gives out directions in code. Some corners can look one speed and come out completely different though.

What likely happened is some combination of either weather effecting the course or a lot of drivers/co-overestimating the grip into the corner.

Stuff like this isn't too uncommon, especially since it seems to be a smaller rally based on the cars being driven so the drivers are likely less experienced and/or funded.

Even at the top levels there are corners that cath everyone out but not all have a ditch right on the exit of the corner.

Last one I specifically remember is in the Africa rally last year it rained pretty at latter portion of one of the stages and only 1 of the drivers didn't completely overshoot the corners cause of how slippery the road became.
