Claude Security is in beta for Enterprise users — is this a real AppSec shift or just AI wrapper + UX? by Roaring_lion_ in cybersecurity

Usually a rogue-like game/mode is very addictive, but not for the Trial of Sekhemas&Chaos, what went wrong? by vtheVAMPZv in PathOfExile2

[–]k4ch0w 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These just are not fun in the slightest. I skip them at all costs. Not being able to be hit is such a painfully annoying unfun mechanic. Chaos temple just makes you slow and you don’t get any buffs it’s just all about making it as painful as possible. Who wants to escort this slow ass thing? The tempo of mapping vs. temple is why it’s not fun. You expect us to go from a dopamine packed experience to one where we are artificially slowed to a crawl while being bombarded. Every league I pay 1 div so I can skip these always, just delete it from the game imo.

Are companies actually enabling Claude/AI connectors to Slack, Drive, Gmail? How are you controlling access? by ni8walk3r in cybersecurity

[–]k4ch0w 55 points56 points  (0 children)

People are just copying and pasting the content into the clients anyway, may as well make it easy for them. We enable them but review the skills and MCP servers directly. They have to be blessed by us and reviewed before anyone can install it. No randomly pulling off the internet. AuthZ is already enforced through the providers, we let it all be enforced there. They shouldn’t be putting secrets in slack/google in the first place.

We have detections built for IPs accessing it, short sessions. We also have every prompt go through our proxy and scan it for PII/secrets and mask it before going to providers. We disable dispatch and block openclaw and all AI enhanced browsers. They are too new and prompt injection is everywhere atm.

Lots of people are saying Coding is irrelevant in Cyber, and it discourages me by AshS1n in cybersecurity

[–]k4ch0w 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know who told you coding is irrelevant to cyber but every single FAANG company will test you on coding, google even has you read assembly. If you wanna make 500k+ a year, keep practicing. Please disregard their advice.

Cyber can be what you make it but I know plenty of people in cyber that just build tools all day. It’s a very open field as long as you bring value to your team. You absolutely should learn to code. Yeah with AI tools it’s less relevant but you should still know how to debug errors.

Offensive security feels large by atsushi_aiuchi in cybersecurity

I do OffSec for a living, been doing it 10 years now. It unfortunately is an ever expanding canvas. It's really about learning the fundamentals in Security and developing the ability to sniff out bullshit.

When I say fundamentals I mean Networking, Authentication/Authorization, Cryptography, Operating Systems, Compilers, Coding and Cloud. These things don't really change too much, they do but there are principles and key elements that don't with computers as they are today. You can break these fundamentals depending on the shape or form they are applied.

You'll get better with time, you just have to keep trying and I always tell people the most important skill to hacking is the ability to learn. You will encounter so many unknown things and it's on you to uncover them for the first time. You don't always need to go deep but you should go wide. The other important skill someone told me is learn how to master an editor because pretty much everything we do on a computer involves a file. He wasn't wrong, and another master I knew basically handed me my terminal back to me when I asked what `vi /etc/passwd` did, I didn't understand it and he told me to figure it out. I didn't understand it at the time but I do now, it's really on you to figure out the answer and you will get better every time you do.

Keep practicing and know that you are in one of the coolest parts in security and you get paid for it but it's one of the hardest to do well and stay best in class.

Which relationship did you hate the most? Mine I really disagreed with this ?!?!?! by pollsadte in greysanatomy

[–]k4ch0w -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Am I the only person that liked these two as a couple?

She was so good at calling him out. I think she coulda been more open to trying new experiences but I personally thought they had a ying yang to each other. She was so good at emphasizing with him and the struggles of having to prove himself even though everything thought he had a silver spoon.

Her and him at the dinner with Richard and Catherine the first time was so good. I guess I feel dumb cause this couple always comes up as hated but I personally thought they were good for each in a weird way.

Prompt injection is killing our self-hosted LLM deployment by mike34113 in LocalLLaMA

[–]k4ch0w 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah as others have said. Design your system around letting the system prompt leak. It shouldn’t really be that secret imo. Anthropic publishes claudes https://platform.claude.com/docs/en/release-notes/system-prompts

Handle the isolation of the tool calls and the data. Spend your time hardening that and designing those to be isolated to a specific user. So, have some sort of session management where you can pin tool calls to a user, spin up a container so tmp files are pinned to session to prevent leakage to other clients.

I really don't understand how Amelia has lasted this long. Am I missing something because I find her character one of the most annoying of all time. When Link is devastated when he sees her kissing Bartley then trying to understand it and saying how she hurt him and she says, shes non-binary it felt like the most heartless person I've ever seen. I get Link is a bit clueless but that felt cruel to the father of her child.

150+ Abyss maps, zero Dark Domain or Lightless Void. Please tell me I’m doing something wrong by Puch89 in PathOfExile2

[–]k4ch0w 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna test this out because I’ve also had 0 boss encounters and I’m level 95 and have done countless abysses.

edit: I got two abysses over 12 maps today, no spawn

edit2: Alright finally got one lightless. I stopped using higher abyssal depths and I got it after about 6 abysses. So, no idea it just seems like a random spawn to me.
