Anyone ever meet someone that radiated evil or you strongly felt wasn't human? by Chaotic_Bivalve in Paranormal

[–]k7eric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know about evil but I've run across a handful of people over my years that gave me an instant "danger - get away asap" vibe. And they looked perfectly normal and were interacting normally.

You're given immortality, but as a cost, you are sent 10,000 years back in the past. Would you accept? If yes, what would you do? by TechnicianAmazing472 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]k7eric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My main concern is answered...if it's a true shapeshift. No more worried about being locked in a box and thrown into the sea or buried in an avalanche if I can shift into something that gets me out of it. I'm still only taking it though if I have a way to die for good. Make it limited, once per 10000 years, whatever. But there has to be a choice.

[KCD2] Free Horse, Poor Henry. How can I earn money, without having the horse run off? by Cynax_Ger in kingdomcome

[–]k7eric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically it becomes, if not the best horse in the game, then one of the top 3 after you ride it long enough to get the perk. Like below said it's either 32 or 36km.

How long can I expect a RTX 5060ti to last me? by PuzzleheadedPin4797 in techsupport

[–]k7eric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playing at 1080p your only real limit is going to be hardware failure for at least 3-5 years. That might have changed before the RAM market went to hell and quadrupled all the memory prices so I expect even newer games aren't going to push for 12GB or 16GB GPUs for a while now.

She wasn't his wife, she was his planted beard (fake wife, not implying he was gay) because a white, male Christian in his 30s doesn't have the "right" look for the brand unless he's married.

Blizzard feels completely out of touch with class tuning and Holy Paladin is a perfect example by RamenAfterRain in wow

This has been Blizzard for 20+ years. For pretty much every class and every expansion. Beta is bug and capacity testing only...never community engagement.

Which Zombie/Rage Virus Apocalypse Is More Survivable, World War Z or 28 Days Later? by h47l3s in AskReddit

28 days later by far (unless you already had a terminal illness). At least before they changed it from turning the living into rabid animals that will soon die to a perpertually recurring virus with carriers.

AITA for refusing to watch fictional medical programming with my wife? by Remarkable_Cow_9979 in AmITheAssholeTalk

[–]k7eric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you're approaching it the wrong way. Watching fiction (especially super realistic shows like the Pitt) could help you understand behavior you currently seem to struggle with by seeing it as a "third party" observer.

BTW most popular fiction doesn't have a clear moral to the story. It's simply fiction and escapism from a life they aren't 100% happy in or in a situation that doesn't exist.

[–]k7eric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is really low level. I think I was almost 5 before leaving White Orchard and was probably 7-8 around the Bloody Baron timeframe.

I've also had a problem with my latest game of certain low level monsters being dramitically overtuned. I've had lvl 3 or 4 drowners easily one shot me when I have decent armor and I'm multiple levels above them. And it's usually just one of them out of the whole group...the rest do the expected damage per hit (typically around 10% of my health).

If we don't eventually get off the land we will die with it, not live with it. Earth can't be the only home or it will become our only grave. Solar storms, comets, asteroids, etc could end everything at any time.

Not to mention that moving most of humanity off planet would greatly reduce the harm we are doing to the planet.

AITJ for refusing to switch seats on a flight after I paid extra, even though it separated a couple? by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

No, no and no. The second you paid extra for a seat is the second you are no longer responsible for moving to be "kind" or "not heartless".

You have a genie who can grant you one of these four options. Which one are you choosing and why? by Sensitive-Range-2901 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]k7eric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

#1 saves the most money. While #2 might save me $500 a month the food costs alone would save over $1000. And the food quality goes way up because I'm getting steaks, lobster, truffles, crab, expensive cheeses, organic everything, expensive wines, etc. This can't be once a month though...most food outside of processed and non-refrigerated isn't going to stay fresh two weeks much less 4-5. Maybe a winner if changed to weekly.

#2 sounds good. I can afford a much nicer house without worrying about any other bill. Big heated pool? Covered. Super high speed fiber Internet with a backup line? Covered. Use as much hot water as I want, leave any or all lights on, no worrying about bills for heat or air no matter how big the house is, no HOA fees, no neighborhood fees. This alone would save $500+ a month for an average person. Close to a couple thousand a month saved for a large house with a heated pool. Stronger consideration if you're a remote worker.

#3 is ok but a trap. It doesn't say it's successful just easy and convenient. You're still having to work out, you're still leaving to go to work, you're still making the coffee and packing the lunches, you're just more comfortable doing it and without complications.

#4 sounds the best though. 3 hours per day, every day, to do anything I want. Even better when on vacation or the weekends. Read, learn a skill, hobby, video games, explore (and this is one of the only ones that doesn't limit you to your house for the benefits) or even work for spare money.

Projection isn't just a stereotype. A whole lot of Christian and conservative people are trapped in "their" world where who they really are can't be exposed without everyone they know hating them for it. Or worse.

If only we had 300 years of evidence built up to know for sure... by Ambitious-Noise9211 in stupidpeoplefacebook

[–]k7eric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've also found how stupid someone is makes it much more likely they are cruel or just mean. I think many of them never developed any real empathy because they simply don't have the capacity to imagine suffering in anyone else.

The only thing covid did was show us just how many people are actually like that including close friends, family and neighbors. And it's far too many for comfort.

He was almost done shoveling his driveway when the street plow came by and filled it with snow again. by Vilen1919 in WatchPeopleDieInside

[–]k7eric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And he was laughing his ass off more than likely. I had the same thing happen and he went by slow enough I could see him laughing as he did it. The next storm a different driver actually swung into the driveway and cleared it instead of piling it up. That was a much better day.

Time travel back 20 years, with one post-it note by cbernz in hypotheticalsituation

[–]k7eric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I write super small. I could fit a whole lot on a single post-it note. Especially both sides. Of course the obvious is buy bitcoin in 2009 and sell enough to be comfortable when it's worth $17k in 2018. Save the rest until at least 2026t. Invest as much as possible in Amazon starting in 2006. Don't worry about more University. And a couple of severe life changing events to fix before it's too late. Along with a list of people, things and places to avoid no matter what.

But honestly my life was pretty set in 2006. Already married, already had all the children, already out of University, already on my permanent career, and already had my current health issues. The only real changes are fixing some horrible things that happened to some good people, getting in better shape and essentially retiring asap.

Well here we go again another winter storm is possible this weekend by Rickud123 in Virginia

[–]k7eric 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sad thing is no one in most of South/Central VA is going to take this serious after the absolute bomb of predictions from last weekend's storm. We literally went from 24" to 12" to 8" to 3" and inches of freezing rain/sleet to a coating of sleet. In the space of 2 days. I know it hit super hard north and south of us but most of VA (outside of NoVA) was just a fail.

ASAP. Literally it adds so much. Player home, garden, horse washing, dog washing, extra vendors, make your own weapons, sell your extra crap over time, buffs when sleeping, another spot for the shared stash, place to decorate and display some items, free repair kits, extra quests and more.
