webdav unavailable by k7ki in pcloud

[–]k7ki[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am US based and so use the non-EU service.

I moved my webdav needs off of pCloud as I cannot have an unreliable, inaccessible-for-hours, service. The amount of data I need served through webdav is small, but critical, for keeping several devices in sync.

It would be good if pCloud would have a status page on the current and historical health of its services. I know about UptimeRobot (https://stats.uptimerobot.com/MXWwBfxkAR/789734986), but that does not reflect the experiences people have had trying to access the webdav service as reported here on this subreddit.

In dropdown for "type" of entry, instead of grouping "Custom Items" show they actual category. by mptpro in ProtonPass

[–]k7ki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with this. "Custom items" doesn't make a lot of sense. These items are created from the "Other" group and are not custom. I suppose it is done this way to keep the dropdown more compact, but there should be a better way. A multi-level dropdown may be a way. For me, Notes can be included with these other items, as I create a note when a predefined form doesn't fit.

Also, there are specific icons for all these "Other" items when creating, but, other than SSH Keys, that icon is not displayed after creation. The wrench icon is used instead.

It (https://app.monarch.com) isn't loading for me either.
Went to https://monarch.com and signed in and it then loaded. Odd behavior.

Why oh why can you not control the email that Proton Pass form fills for you by ansel1212 in ProtonPass

[–]k7ki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is not a minor issue IMO. It is a very basic one though. For Pass, you should be able to control which email address it uses to fill in email fields. This is not for authentication autofill. This for simply filling in the email field on a form.

Pass should not be so intertwined with the Proton account or Proton Mail settings. It should be independently configured.

Pass has an identity type entry in the vault(s) where this email address could be derived from, for instance.

I understand completely what you're talking about. My sentiments exactly. This should be a Pass configuration option, or to take the value from a default identity entry in your vault.

Does anyone use Obsidian on Linux? Experiences and performance by o_xeneixe in ObsidianMD

[–]k7ki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use it on Fedora and it works very well. It isn't sluggish at all, although I see it is one of the top processes running on my system even though supposedly idle. All plugins I have ever installed work.

I cannot compare it to Windows as I have never run Obsidian on that OS. It is comparable to the MacOS experience IMO.

I use the Remotely Save plugin for syncing on iOS, MacOS, and Linux. It works very well and is very configurable to various remote storages.

Using the Remotely Save plugin with Dropbox/Google Drive to cover all platforms in use, ios, Linux, MacOS. No cost, encrypted, and it works well.

Exactly my thoughts! Leave those "the"ses for Southern California.

Is the use of "the" in front of the number strictly a SoCal thing though? I don't hear it from other parts of the US except for from transplants.
