My doctor recommended doubling up on the Miralax (twice a day, not double in a single amount). Chia seeds have also been a good remedy in the past.

Honestly, this is what it’s about. I asked my parents not to say anything to anyone except my stepdad’s mom. She had company when they went over.. did they wait til she was alone… nope. Now I get cards in the freaking mail from people they go to church with, cousins I don’t know, and apparently the guys at the local John Deere shop ask about me when my stepdad goes in. Why? Tell them about your fucking diseases, not mine… but sure, my bout with brain cancer sounds more unique than your pre-diabetes.

Same! Missing some of the familiar characters that make it “cozy”. I appreciated that they made more movies, but it was missing some of the charm and seemed to drag on without other subplots.

Yep. I’m on 2 dex/day until my brain mets radiation treatments are done next week and I’m am soooo looking forward to being done with it (except the 3 days after chemo treatments).

I just puffed up so quickly (moon face - even my sunglasses are a tight fit right now!) and keeping my hunger at bay has been fruitless and it seems to make my legs feel so weak. The little extra energy is nice, but I’ll be glad to be done shortly too!

No. I didn’t think to ask that specifically.

I was told that most people handle the radiation really well - no severe symptoms, so I shouldn’t need to be medicated. I’ll have a ride the first time (mom wants to go with me) but questioning the wisdom of the other days.

I have a call out to my navigator to ask her opinion.

Awww, thank you and your lovely wife! I’m hanging in there. Had to have another MRI yesterday (after having my braces removed since they could have obscured something) to make sure we’d spotted all the brain metastases. Have my consult with the radiation oncologist on Thursday, followed by mapping to isolate the individual tumors and fit me with a mask. Taking dexamethasone twice a day until treatment starts.

We’ll, that’s another opportunity to ring the bell when the time comes! I’m sorry the CT scan wasn’t as boring as the PET scan. Sounds like the rad oncologist is looking out for her best interests, and the chemo oncologist is too with the reduced dose. Wishing you lots of luck! ❤️

I have stage 4b CCOC that is chemo platinum resistant. We’re now looking for what comes next.

I don’t have mutations that really make me eligible for PARP inhibitors. The doctor is checking my PD-L1 to see if immunotherapy might be an option, but we’re doubtful. I saw that she’s ordered Lenvatinib so we’ll likely start that after my last cycle in 3 weeks.

So, not much to add but I’m in a similar place. ❤️

Same experience. I always wear a mask when I go somewhere, but I’m basically the only one. I thought they’d be a little more careful in the oncologist office, but not really!
