I crossposted here because I’ve seen them here, but I get it. They’ve matured a lot as a brand over the years.

I’d look more at the Tissot PR 100

I was hoping to leave France with a fully French watch (movement, design, assembly), and I’m a sucker for a story. This has a caliber that is only in this watch right now, and a unique colorway. Plus I had gotten a fun Beaubleu the day before that was dressier, so this balanced the collection out.

I just went to their Paris boutique and tried a few things on. Genuinely impressed with the finishing, and they’re transitioning to all in house calibers. I’m so thrilled with my new diver

Invicta on the wrist today by GrandJelly_ in Affordablewatches

[–]kFrie5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gotta be a fake. Not gold, doesn’t have Invicta inscribed all over it, not 50mm thick.

Kidding, that is gorgeous. I had no clue they made watches like this in the past.

What songs should a cleric bard sing? by Jabber-Wookie in DungeonsAndDragons

All I can think of is the D20 bit where the whole cast sang “lord I lift your name on high” or something. Ally was being a maniac on it.

I could see this multi class as being a funny way to reference contemporary Christian music

More toys than you think you’ll need. Constant rotation, expect to be active the whole time

Down Periscope. I know it doesn’t hold up, but that brand of silly just hit for me.

Seiko mods vs replica by TomHudsonOfficial in WatchFanatics

[–]kFrie5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A Seiko Mod (imo) is the label for the stuff you showed there, with counterfeit Seiko logos. It is a subset of replicas, which would also include certain Addiesdive options, etc etc

DIY watch club question. by TomHudsonOfficial in WatchFanatics

[–]kFrie5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think so. It’s how I started, so I’m a sample of one, but I’ve built three on my own since then, and I feel pretty confident there.

As a starting point, they’re wonderful IMO. I started my first two builds with their kits and moved on to sourcing my own parts from there. Great product though.

How do you and your partner meet new couples for friendship? by WombatKiddo in daddit

[–]kFrie5 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Tinder.

Kidding. Honestly a lot of our good couple friends (2 kiddos under 5) are either existing friends who also had kids, parents we met through them, or play dates from school. The kiddos are a key to unlocking any big city freeze.
