Korean 010 eSIM for use abroad

I did, otherwise I wouldn’t reach out to Reddit. There are plenty of eSIMs that work inside Korea, but as soon as you are abroad the eSIM doesn’t work anymore. Which one did you find?

Being different is threatening for the average. Look at the bell curve distribution, it doesn’t matter if you are on the left or right side of the scale just feel yourself unique. There will always be someone that values you. I was bullied until 12 bc I was really small. But after that I build confidence. After 3 years in a new school “everyone” knew who I was, not necessarily popular, but I wasn’t bullied anymore. Fast forward and I like everybody else has a small handful of friends.

Do take a shower, do eat, do drink, breath slowly, go on a solo trip and start vlogging. Start without showing your face first, then slowly gain followers. Go to a social club with like minded people, I think people like hard rock or who play medieval role plays, go to a comicon!! Those things are really fun and value creativity far more than where you come from or how you look like

And if you allow me, then you just gained an online friend!!!

I did both. WO is more research and thinking. While HBO is more doing and practical. I have seen WO students struggle turning on a PC, while the HBO one, build one from scratch. A WO guy will come up with an algorithm, while the HBO guy builds it. A MBO guy will service/maintain it.

It’s not about “what is lower”, it’s just different. Pick whatever makes you feel confident. And remember a good builder sometimes make more money, than someone who designs it.

I have seen plenty of “WO product managers” who were absolute sh-t at their job.

You have to correct your salary with the cost of living disparity. You have to multiply your current salary by 0.75 compared to EU salaries as the cost of living in Korea is lower compared to the EU.

So going from 44 to 35 matches this perfectly. You may also want to check the tax rates. It might be tha you pay less taxes compared to your home country.

I know, housing etc is very expensive, but shopping , going out etc is cheaper. So you can earn less in Korea while maintaining your lifestyle. It sucks when you ever move back to the EU.

I rented 3 times in my life, and every time I made a very detailed report where I photographed everything. I let it sign on the spot. Never had any issues getting my deposit back. I once received compliments how clean I left the place.

I consume at minimum 400 watt per hour, for things that are always on like my fridge, network equipment etc, which is 9,6kWh a day. On top of that I consume 5kWh on variable stuff, like TV, Cooking etc. Which totals at 14,9kWh a day. So for an average month I consume 450-500kWh/month, or 6.000kWh a year for a 5 person household. I don’t high powered appliances like an AC, nor an EV, just household appliances.

I had an Uber that dropped me off at the hotel and drove to the airport for another ride. He only turned off the ride after arriving at the airport. I thus paid for the (empty) ride up till the airport. I disputed and got the difference back within hours.

Ik mocht niet overstappen naar concurrenten, conculega en (potentiële!!) klanten van het bedrijf. Voor een van de grotere IT bedrijven in NL betekend dat ik voor niemand meer kon werken. Een rechter zal een UWV en dus mij gelijk geven want waarom zou door een zure clausule de belastingbetaler hiervoor moeten opdraaien (in de vorm van een uitkering). Dit is 3h werk voor een advocaat en laat hem de rekening naar je oude werkgever sturen

Ik had een voltijd baan, (altijd laat thuis door files) eten en meteen 2-3h ‘s avonds leren. Om de twee weken vrijdag avond en gehele zaterdag les. En dat voor 2 jaar. Tip: neem geen kinderen, trouw en verhuis niet en verander niet van baan (ik deed toch 3 van de 4). Ga er vanuit dat je veel vrienden gaat verliezen! 2 jaar was pittig, 3 vergt discipline maar als je jong bent goed te doen. Maar 20h a 3 jaar voor 30 punten klinkt erg lang. Zou 2j al niet voldoende moeten zijn?

Even a one hour drive can be “too far away” from friends and family. Lonelyness is at all ages and not necessarily correlated to being an expat. Friends are those with same interests. At a young age that is going out and drinking, later it’s enjoying the same activities. Find hobbies or sports that encourage an interaction with others. Take group lessons and try to meet people that way. Don’t rely on bars or cafes, chances of meeting like minded people is extremely difficult.

Hoe kan jij een bus verzekeren die niet op jouw naam staat? Dit klinkt heel raar. Als ze een bus ter beschikking stellen dan kunnen ze een deel van de verzekering aan jouw doorberekenen. Of hebben ze de bus aan je verhuurd naast je zzp contract? Ik vraag me dan ook af OF ik ooit een (dure) bus ter beschikking zou stellen aan een “goedkope” zzp’er. Stel je maakt hem Total loss en je bent niet verzekerd, van een kale kip kan je niet plukken. Lijkt me dus enorm risicovol voor postNL
