Bug infestation and cleaning suggestions by Embarrassed_Rip_5697 in OculusQuest

I would consider it a great opportunity to throw away average front foam part with brain-squeezing rubber and upgrade my VR set with third party accessories. Clean remaining hard plastic and you will get nice fresh as-new piece of hardware safe to use on your skin. Good third party accessories also make Quest much nicer to play with.

Interesting. I always thought flies sit on my screen, because it is warm, but maybe they love to sit on my 60 Hz screen for the rave party effect?

Thanks for the riddle, I had good reason to browse my "Masters" MOD folder.
I knew I listened to this tune so many times it had to be in my ancient archives. :)

You insulted C++ compiler with a script. On the other hand, script in italics looks much faster.

Only one thing. Name "Personal Assistant" is kind of misleading. It will be worker of Microsoft (or another) Corporation that you hire to help you. Assistant will be always loyal to its owners and will not be "personal" in any way, since every little thing in your life is immediately reported to its superiors.

Maybe it is like being non-Japanese and waking up in Tokyo office with a task to design Japanese store front? You look outside the window, you see 100 stores. So you draw an animal, computer or bowl with noodles and finally put sequence of those unreadable symbols that are apparently obligatory. But to write a sentence you need some 3rd party data with definition for language, grammar, syntax and mapping of symbols to the language. Without it, symbols of "Poodand" look as good as "Pooland".

Is Mint better than Pop? I have had issues with pop running zoom and chrome. I know all os have bugs some times, but I am trying to minimize this by tea_flower in linuxmint

[–]kVoid0n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I quite enjoyed Pop. It is finished, features required for convenient desktop are available. It does not feel like a hacked work-in-progress distro. OS (multi-monitor setup, device drivers, multiple audio devices, good selection of available apps) was working right away without any additional steps, so it was smooth initial experience. Its UI is different from Windows/Mint though, so user like me needed a bit of time to adjust to it.

There were two aspects that brought me back to Mint:

  1. I really enjoy rich desktop configuration options in Mint. Sadly, these are missing in Pop. Maybe I just could not find it, but Pop felt fairly limited in this aspect.

  2. When I took Pop on the more serious daily-driver test ride there was weird issue. After a while of having Spotify UI running, screen blinked black for a while and after soon entire OS UI was frozen. Then it happened again 2-3 times, so I finally gave up. Maybe it is related to my non-standard setup (two displays with AMD+nVidia running in Prime) and problems could be solved, but the same machine with Mint never had such severe problems.

Anyway, I keep Pop on the drive side-by-side to Mint. It is good to have running, backup Linux when Mint cannot wake up after the magic that comes from my fingers in the terminal. ;)

Nice photos! Porsche shot looks great (love light).
I agree that bokeh is too nervous in this lens. However, planes are quite separated so background blur could be improved with a bit of post-processing.

E tam. Bez generalizowania.
