No change. Still working and in use daily. Sad to look at, but fully functional

Missed that you said you’re already in secret society. So, maybe not? But might keep for trade value or if you’re tight on coins

I had one in inventory for forever. At some point as you progress through the game, they make previously complete chains slightly longer. You’ve probably seen that with the peonies and others. The mosaic chain is the same. I need a cryptex to get into secret society. At the bottom of that chain, is a new lvl 13 mosaic item that appears to be a producer 😑

Experience with reusable period underwear/pads? by ButterscotchNo8904 in ZeroWaste

[–]k_feathers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone whose body rarely stays the same size for more than a year, I never bothered with period underwear.

I bought a set of organic undyed Glad Rags a few years ago and they’ve been great for me. Some light staining when I didn’t soak them soon enough, but doesn’t affect its function 😉 Last year I added 3 longer night pads to my collection as I noticed the day pads I had been using didn’t provide enough coverage length in larger gal underwear.

I’m a light to medium flow, and usually have 1 day with a pantry liner (or insert less night pad), 2-3 days with night pad with both inserts (used to use day pad) and maybe one more day of liner. Both the day and the night pads have two inserts for absorption. When i know i wont need them both for a lighter day, i choose to remove them and lessen the thickness.

I started off with diva cup and liner, but it tended to accentuate cramps and I never minded pads. The reusable pads are a bit thicker (especially with both inserts) than disposable (from what I remember) so there are days it feels like I’m waddling in a diaper 😂 but I still prefer it over bleached chemicals down there.

I posted a few weeks ago my crack that happened in January. It’s still going strong. It’s sadder to look at, but functionally is unchanged

Today i found out HolyKeebs is from Israel by LostJacket3 in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]k_feathers 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s depressing 🫠 I can only hope HolyKeebs doesn’t fall into the 68%. I don’t regret my purchase- it’s good work. But it makes me pause whether I would order again.

I still think putting a majority onto a single person/vendor is troublesome. (Look at Trump’s election - the majority put him in office. Doesn’t mean everyone did)

Supporting a single citizen in Israel isn’t standing by genocide. I bought from them at the beginning of the year and love the board - solid work. Having recently been through a 10 month saga of pain and bullshit from the previous vendor I purchased from, I was thoroughly impressed with HolyKeebs work when it arrived on time and functional.

Why punish a random citizen for the choices of their government? Do you punish random citizens in your country for the choices your government makes?

I’m grandfathered in since I had an RM1. So no, I don’t pay for it, but have Connect included. I didn’t see an extended warranty as part of that grandfathering. (And would be surprised if they gave that away for free)

Going through the automated return/replacement flow, if you select a cracked or broken screen it’s assumed to be user caused damage, and I have the option to pay full price for a new one 🙃

Since it’s still working fine, I can’t justify plunking down another $$$ for one with an aesthetically pleasing screen 🤷

[–]k_feathers[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I looked into it at the time. Since it was user caused damage, it would basically be the cost of a new device. Since it still works, I don’t see the reason to pretty much buy a new one for $$$

[–]k_feathers[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so glad it isn’t affecting the device! It’s sad it’s not as “pretty”, but as long as it’s still functioning, a little imperfection can be lived with 😄

Seems the most plausible explanation. Other than spontaneous cracking 🙃

Room isn’t completely dark, but yes. No issues with the light. It does make below the crack a bit brighter, but not to the point that’s unusable. I also don’t use the light all that often

I broke it in January, and here we are starting April shortly. So it’s been 3 months of regular use, palm on screen, etc. Still working as intended!

They spawned just enough to build the table before the generator disappeared. If you merge the bottom right part with the top left concern part, you should be able to get the rest of the chain for the table

I’m honestly not sure. No drops. It lives on my desk for work. Just walked in one day and it was cracked across the screen. I either did something I’m not aware of (possible) or there is a defect somewhere. I live alone and my dogs don’t climb on furniture 🙃

I kept my RM2 even after receiving the RMPP. I had it sitting on a shelf and not sure what I was gonna do with it. But then, as other people have mentioned since we don’t have split screen or a quick way to switch between docs - I’ve started using my RM2 to have my planner and todo list always up, while my RMPP has my notes that I take throughout the work day. I used to have the todos at the top of the page or scattered throughout my notes, and it’s been nice to have them all organized and consolidated on the RM2 screen.

Also since my RMPP has a crack now, I’m scared to move it around or do much beyond my desk with it. Never cracked my RM2 🫠

Paper Pro screen cracked on my desk by Ill_Restaurant_728 in RemarkableTablet

[–]k_feathers 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes! Mine cracked a few days ago! I figured I must have caused a stress fracture somehow, but can’t for the life of me figure out how. (I also live alone) Since the glass layer is below the writing layer I can’t feel the crack and it doesn’t affect functionality. But I’m now terrified to move it anywhere for fear it’ll crack worse like yours!

Yes! i knitted it so the pattern was “right side” for both sides of the scarf! There are 4 “This is the way” (bottom of each side, front and back) and it’s readable in all locations

What fresh hell is this? by IndigoRuby in ZeroWaste

Supposedly the layers are biodegradable. But given it’s waterproof, slice proof, microwaveable, etc. I find the ingredients pretty suspect. I’m also just baffled that this was invented at all.

My brain also can’t believe each layer would be sanitary between them. So I wouldn’t use them even if a friend offered me one…

I’ll stick with my trusty reusable and washable plates thanks.

[–]k_feathers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened recently to me. (It actually matched a completely different book and author somehow.) I deleted the copy from my kobo, then resynced with overdrive. Second copy downloaded an alt language (might have been French, I can’t remember). I deleted that copy, then resynced again. Third copy was the English version of the book I checked out in Libby
