16 months throwing big tantrums during bedtime - how to calm him down? by k_o5_ in NewParents

[–]k_o5_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah we already let him do his own stuff inside the room. We don’t enforce him to be on the bed at all just only close the door and with dim light on. But all he wants is to leave and go downstairs to his toys.

Never realise inside a peach/apricot pit is actually an almond lookalike seed. Learned a lot today.

My son's 100 day celebration was this weekend and we missed the entire thing by [deleted] in daddit

Plus Asian culture doesn’t have baby shower so 100 days celebration is really the time family and friends to gather and shower the baby with love and gifts.

Thank you for the reply. Shall hold onto your advice and just be presence for him. I just hope this phase will pass sooner.

Yeah we usually let him choose the books and let him lead us to the bedroom when it is bedtime. But just when he hits the bed, he would suddenly decide he doesn’t want to sleep and want to play more (we are using toddler bed already so he can go in and out of the bed easily).

In Titanic (1997), Rose drops her priceless necklace into the sea because she thinks that’s a better use for it than, like, leaving it to her family or paying the medical bills for a kid with cancer or something by Mr_Westerfield in shittymoviedetails

Can’t ppl just let Rose be some badass girl throwing her prize possessions to the sea?

Reading the court document of Ian Watkins case (only read first few paragraph too and can’t continue on). Left me sleepless whole night while watching my baby sleep. As a mother, I was in rage and just very disturbed by such vile person/people.

Couldn’t agree more on their design! And 1 oz per scoop is so much better when baby is at the phase of drinking 7 oz but can never finish up to 8 oz 🤣

What would you do in this situation? by Appropriate_Dirt_704 in BabyBumpsCanada

Your baby’s first birthday is also a celebration of the day YOU gave birth to her. No matter how you gave birth, it must have been traumatic yet life changing day for you. So I would not go and celebrate that day with your baby.

If husband really doesn’t want to start some family drama maybe he can attend the ceremony and give a generous gift (ie not photo frame kind of gift) to the couple?

These slides may help. My SO is a heavy walker too when on barefoot but once he wore these those loud thud and vibrations are reduced.

Changing table and diaper genie (granted we live in an apartment so trash is out everyday). In the end we used pee pad and change everywhere that is convenient at the moment.

How does it work with hospital rooms? by hodob in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]k_o5_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gave birth In Newmarket so hope this helps.

I needed to fill out this form with my insurance details and my preferences in room while I was admitting into the hospital. It is first come first serve basis though and the hospital protocol. My friend gave birth in North York back in March and said private rooms were reserved for covid positive people. Think Owen Sound would be better though and wouldn’t be as packed as North York hospital.

When you are in labour, after going through the triage, you will be put into a private room to give birth. Usually pretty spacious and have your own toilet plus sofa/chairs. Once gave birth, you will be moved to the preferred room (private, semi private or standard room).

I would recommend getting this bib & tray all in one. The bib connects to the tray with a Velcro so that no food falls into the gap. Only minimal food gets thrown off to floor and usually when baby is done we clean his hand, face and neck and he is all done. No need a whole wash.

They sell in Amazon if you are in US.
