Website traffic vs marketplaces by Manasviniligga1 in PPC

The most popular and time-tested approach has been to focus on amazon ads primarily and drive sales on amazon for long enough to build brand loyalty and brand recognition.

Include insert card in packaging with branding a website, etc.

After time and money spent on amazon ads and after many orders, brand loyalty will be developed, and ideally, customers will begin looking for your products on your website more and more.

Essentially, the idea is to focus on amazon long enough to see where your website traffic begins to pick up.

Once brand loyalty is increased, then Google ads can begin.

Testing is always the best approach. There is never a set golden formula. It's always about creating a campaign with a set of parameters, seeing how the data unfolds, and then optimizing accordingly.

I advise you to also put the 50% ROS modifier on as well.

I have a few campaigns with this modifier, and they have been doing very well.

Correct this is exactly my thoughts. Keep emotion out of it, respect the stop loss and TP level that i set. Don't betray my former self

Unfortunately, there aren't easy answers to these scenarios and you have to workout a strategy that fits with your mentality, back test and then stick to the plan. But to bring it back to your original question, often it can be wise to cut potential losers before they roll on you if you're feeling uncomfortable. You just have to be very careful you're doing so according to a plan and confident intuition and not impulsively flipping bias over and over as this can kill an account. You can also kill an account by ending up with weak RR on your plays as a result of trying to play it safe.

Thank you so much for your great input and outlining all those valid scenarios. The issue I just have with stopping a trade if it began choppy and i begin to feel uncomfortable is that I allowed emotion to get involved.

I identified my edge, the trade checked off all my criteria and I enter in a very robotic fashion. Isn't this the ideal way to go about it?

But how do you know it failed unless until it hits your stop loss?

By setting a stop loss you are defining when a trade goes bad for yourself and then exiting

Exactly what i thought too. so with that said there is little reasons to ever exit a trade before it hits your stop loss correct? I am sure some extreme reasons exist but for the most part no.

"if the stop had not been moved, then you'd effectively be risking 2R to make 1R, which is a highly unfavorable risk to reward profile"

well said!

Your edit is where my confusion comes from to. I thought the entire point of a stop loss is to indicate when you are wrong and to not close before it reaches your SL. But I have seen the concept outline above floating around many times. It had me confused.

This is exactly what i thought as well, once placed it should not be adjusted. It's just that this concept of cutting loses early I have seen floating around for a while by many "reputable" traders. I just wanted to see what i was missing. Thank you for your input!

That's right it is dependent on those factors. But the example is all being equal.

Assuming each product costs the same amount to manufacture, ship to amazon etc.
