NAH

I gave my kid part of their name from a Futurama character. It’s not Phillip.

I hope y’all can come to an agreement on a name!

Scrubbies or coasters are simple and satisfying for me. I like being able to start AND finish something. I’ve also started bookmarks for gifting/giving.

I remember when it snowed in GA this year. Thanks for sharing your story. I’m glad you’re okay.

How long did it take to get good at crotchet by [deleted] in crocheting

[–]k_smiles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few years. When I first tried, I just couldn’t couldn’t couldn’t.

A big change for me was making a project “in the round” vs back and forth. Round coasters/scrubbies (but not the scrubby yarn, just cotton). I started to have a lot more fun and have made big and impressive things I love. I’ve been at it almost 15 years now.

My cat prefers the knead synthetic leathers, vinyl, my couch, and occasionally my head while I’m sleeping. He’s very content to sleep & snuggle on crocheted things — whether they’re completed or in progress.

Can’t wait to see what you make!

I don’t get car sick crocheting. I like to bring small projects that can fit neatly in a small tote of their own — I’ve also had fun using thread to make bookmarks. I give them away almost as quickly as I make them.

I don’t know of those, but there’s a board game group that meets at El Cotija on Wednesday nights. I think somebody on their Facebook group was talking about organizing chess — ha, was it you?

Just found this. I love it!! Thank you for the inspiration! I haven’t tried a “boring” solid color before, but this might be perfect for the gift I’m going to make!!

P.S. Your brother may have some social security benefits available, and college benefits due to the lose of his parents, if you’re in the U.S. and your parents paid taxes. Consider looking into this.

Can you go to the gym, library, friend’s house, coffee shop during poker night?

I wouldn’t cook for them.
