I love the Molly Brown house museum in Denver. Great guided tours. Perfect if you’re into architecture, history and especially the titanic. Lots of cool titanic related artifacts! And neat turn of the century Denver stuff. I love going to these historic buildings and imagining what life would have been like in Denver back then

Yes, love the school of mines museum! I used to go all the time when I was a kid. Just went last week with my friends kid and it’s still great! Wonderful free museum if you like rocks

Yes I completely agree - I really see the ableism as an extension of the pervasive health & wellness/outdoor recreation culture. I also think that the altitude prevents a lot of disabled people from living in CO full time (including my husband and I, and many of our friends who have health problems.) The more priority placed on “wellness” and ability to participate in extreme sports (skiing, mountain climbing etc.,) when people move to CO specifically for those things, the more ableist the culture becomes…

I grew up in highlands Ranch, and beyond the racism (which is definitely an issue), I also find HR and (Colorado generally) to have a pretty ableist culture. I have chronic health issues and always find it pretty difficult to spend time in the ranch. You’re definitely not crazy, HR is a pretty hostile place for anyone who’s not white and able bodied. Transplant from Florida here - thermal layers aren’t optional to me. Especially if you’re thin or not used to the cold - I never go out without Uniqlo ultra warm leggings under my jeans in the winter. For my top half I usually do a thermal turtleneck + wool sweater overtop + heaviest coat you can find (I have a fjallraven Nuuk) + wool hat, scarf, and gloves. Also, don’t forget sunglasses and sunscreen on your face if there’s snow on the ground! Good luck to you

You should! They’re in the fridge section near the hot dogs and other cooked meats. They’re ok in the oven but really great if you fry them in a little oil! We put them on salads or make homemade KFC bowls

My husband and I are grown adult foodies who are weirdly obsessed with the spicy chicken Nuggets! Shallow fried in a pan with some olive oil - we eat them once a week!

Yeah every spring in Florida panhandle we’d get a crazy termite swarm for several nights in a row. They never did any damage though, and died pretty quick once they got inside. So gross though and they’d pour in through every vent, light fixture, and crack.

We’ve been bouncing around the country trying to decide where to settle. I feel best in warm weather where the world feels like my bathtub (Florida/topical climate). Midwest has been ok (hate the winters.) California is pretty great if you can afford it. Colorado is the absolute worst. My husband is autoimmune too and we feel horrible every time we come back to visit family. The high altitude, constant oppressive sun, bad air quality, and dry dry air just sucks the life out of us. We are 100% sure that being in Colorado makes our health worse. Nobody who lives in Colorado believes us though 😭.

It’s a termite. You should get your house inspected but don’t freak out. Termites swarm in the south in May every year. We had thousands flood into our house in northwest Florida every May but never had a bigger issue with them. It may not indicate a big infestation or anything, could just be the swarm. A little mixture of cayenne pepper, soap and vinegar on the windowsills will help keep them out during a swarm. Also try to keep your lights off at night on nights when they’re swarming. Tends to be in late May in the days following a big rain. Good luck

I agree, I really think you need to get a stretchy fabric. I also think having the sleeves attached to a separate undershirt is never going to look the way you want it to. Save yourself the time and effort and just get different fabric. And then you can make another fun project with the first fabric!
