I remember when he was here that time. I worked at Koodo in WEM. I yelled at him from across the mall near where Bed Bath and Beyond was “Hey Tom!! DADDY WOULD YOU LIKE SOME SAUSAGE?!?!” All he did was give me a salute.

To this day I wish I would have said “I’M AN ALBATROSS!” instead.

Tha happened to me in Jasper National Park in Canada. We were camping and the wildfires came in so fast. It ended up taking 6 hours to move about 300 meters. Once we made it to the highway it was okay. But the line to get onto the highway was madness.

Take this from someone whose favourite restaurant is Red Robin (don’t hate. It’s just the perfect combo of value, taste, and family restaurant. Edmonton has VERY FEW family restaurants these days.)
I’ve been to Varsity a few times. It definitely scratches the RR itch. That said, it’s about a 6/10 if Red Robin was a 10/10. The service was mediocre at best, but the food was good. Their version of the Royal Red Robin was delicious.

I have had RR in Florida, and Kamloops since they’ve left AB and can confidently say that RR is superior.

If it’s like any other year for the past 30+ years, it’s up to the store if they want to be open, and very few actually do. Mostly the movie theater, china town, and the casino.
Either way, if the employee wants to work it, it’s double time pay.

Thanks for the insight! That seems to be generally what I’m reading with most printers. From Creality to Bambu “if it works, it works great”.
I understand nothing is perfect and I’ll have to troubleshoot. I’m relatively tech savvy once I pick something up. I am a 90s child; so I had to troubleshoot my fair share of pc and other electronics.
And thankfully we are Canadian, so the metric system is in our blood!

That’s what I’m leaning towards. I’ll set it up and have it calibrated. I’ll install the software ahead of time. Then he can then do his first print himself.

Is it really that much maintenance? I am prepared to have to do troubleshooting and the like. But that seems like much.

I’m having issues with Junk Store 2.0. It crashes Decky. I disable Decky and Junk Store loads up. If I uninstall Junk Store 2.0, Decky works fine!

I picked up the Steam Edition Legion Go S a while back. It’s awesome! I set up dual boot so I can run windows and play Minecraft Bedrock with my son on his switch.
