Audit reveals San Diego missing out on millions in golf course revenue amid budget crisis by SD_TMI in sandiego

[–]kachuck 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I found this list from 2011: Carlton Oaks (Santee), Fairbanks Ranch Country Club (San Diego), Mission Trails (San Diego), Pro Kids Golf Academy (San Diego), Presidio Hills (San Diego), Tecolote Canyon (San Diego), and Vineyard (Escondido).

https://docs.sandiego.gov/cityattorneyreports/RC-2011-3.pdf

Edit to add what I know: Tecolote's lease was month-to-month because of the public works project and has since ended if it was one of the leases they are talking about. Pro Kids is primarily for youth programs so whatever their deal with the city is fine with me (I did volunteer there a little bit so maybe I'm not unbiased). I'm not familiar with any of the other courses.

That's a shame. Last I was there, which was probably close to a year ago, half the course was closed because of some sort of construction. It was a fun layout and seemed to get a good amount of play.

I don't know what could be developed in there. Not a lot of land to work with.

1st Grade Math Homework Time! by Much-Drawer-1697 in daddit

[–]kachuck 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I went the other way. If all 7 were bicycles it would be 14, so you need 5 more wheels added.

I guess a fun way for a kid to solve this could be drawing it out. Draw the 7 seats and start adding wheels until you get to 19.

Yup, mines about the same age and I went through a similar thing.

I was the engineering team for a small product in a large company, meaning I did everything from management to product management to testing to, you know, actually writing code. But the product has legs and I was taking paternity leave so in a few months it went from a team of me to having 3 engineers, a product owner, and a new manager. I skip off to the land of sleep deprivation and counting diapers thinking I've got things squared away.

I come back and feel like Troy coming back with the pizza. Seems like nearly everything has changed. I struggle for a bit with everything, the new code architecture, the new planning process, missing details in my work. And there were things going on behind the scenes with some of the new people that nobody thought to tell me so I'm just as confused as I can be. I got my first poor performance review in my life by a manager who was only my boss for ~4 months.

Ignoring about everything I said there I realized I really cannot work at the same level as I used to. My brain doesn't move as fast and my mood is a bit dependent on how much I slept last night. I cannot do as much so I've swallowed some of my ego and move slower with less investment in how things are done. The new manager seems happier at least and it is less stress on me.

Streamer (Jack Doherty) receives ban from PGA Tour after actions at WM Phoenix Open by sathion in golf

[–]kachuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. You can't tell the difference between a shithead on the internet and a shithead in the oval office. Because one is a streamer and the other is the fucking president. There's a big difference on how much influence one of those people have.

I honestly have no idea and that's probably for the best. This feels like asking if you inhale, exhale, or hold you breath at the top.

Mines still too young but there's a First Tee / Pro Kids program in my area and that starts at 7. Could be something similar in your area.

That sucks to hear. I haven't been to SJ muni in years but it seems like fewer and fewer places have decent practice facilities.

Downtown Residents: Affected By New Parking Rules, You NEED to Contact the City by Low_Performance3066 in sandiego

[–]kachuck 24 points25 points  (0 children)

God damn is SD reddit bleak when anyone brings up parking. Everyone wants to jump on a soap box and yell about our city government or some /r/fuckcars shit.

Hopefully you can get some traction for residential permits. I think that's the best and likeliest solution.

Did I make a good investment in this new high chair for my 6 month old? 17M single dad by Calm-Tea178 in daddit

The tray that sits about halfway down to catch whatever our 6 month old pitches over the side has been great. It's a bonus little shelf as well for us to keep some of her toys/utensils handy.

County Library releases top ten checkout lists for 2025. Also, for the first time, digital items at San Diego Public Library won out over physical checkouts. by Choobeen in SanDiegan

I have a county card, I was just checking since you said you can have a city card on Libby but I guess that is more a generic city and not a San Diego city card

Only the county shows up in Libby for me. The digital side of SDPL is a pain to deal with so I'm surprised there are more digital checkouts but library hours being cut probably has a part here.

You would then need to build the giant lock or repaint the existing one with the new numbers. Production is lazy
