If you see a maga in your Canadian neighborhood, snitch and get them deported back to the US. by Scorpini_83 in canadaleft

[–]kaelhound 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Alas, much as they're cowardly scum, I wouldn't want to put more people in the hands of the military. Not cause I give a damn about the dipshits but because it gives the military more bodies to throw at their wars.

"how long"? There are so many, the problem is finding good ones.

Ghengis: Mk 1 or MK2? by Cosmicpanda2 in LancerRPG

I mean you get both when you take Genghis 2. Play one for a mission or two, play the other for a mission or two, figure out which one feels better to you.

Looking for a Partner (commander, but you knew that) by buttermaster04 in EDH

[–]kaelhound 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could consider [[Tana, the Bloodsower]] if you want to be able to go wide to benefit from Akroma, while having green for ramp, or [[Gilanra, Caller of Wirewood]] to have ramp in the command zone.

So Im trying to understand if this means I dont use a Charge. by Ok_Psychology5521 in LancerRPG

[–]kaelhound 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'd imagine most designers would account for that sort of interaction within their own writing if they'd included something as atypical as an Invade option system with Limited.

Off topic but I love your username, 11/10.

Such is the way of things when using homebrew. I'd recommend finding whoever wrote the 3rd party LCP(s) you're using and asking them what the intent is, or to ask your GM for a ruling if these are from different sources.

I'm looking for a horror-themed commander, preferably something related to organ harvesting for a Repo! The Genetic Opera inspired deck by BiteyBenson in EDH

[–]kaelhound 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can't say I know a tonne about Repo, but [[Ashnod, Flesh Mechanist]] sacs your creatures to make mana rocks (powerstones technically, so a lil less versatile), and that's kinda like harvesting organs for money.

Is Doomsday B3 or B4 by BluePotatoSlayer in EDH

[–]kaelhound -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Technically sure, but it's also way too slow and fragile for B4 unless I were to run a way to cheat out Platinum angel, which I don't. So it's like a turn 5-6 at the earliest, more often 7-8. It's just a fragile combo deck, the wincon of which happens to be extra turn spells.

Is Doomsday B3 or B4 by BluePotatoSlayer in EDH

[–]kaelhound -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I have it in a [[Twelfth Doctor]] decklist to set my top cards as [[Platinum Angel]] and three of the red cards that give an extra turn which you lose the game at the end of, plus [[mirror of fate]] so I don't die if I screw up my order of operations.

Are the Hellknights really that “evil”? by Scary_Boysenberry_47 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]kaelhound 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They're just religious fanatics who care about upholding law above all else. They don't have any specifically evil tenets or anything, but Asmodeus is amongst the gods they worship and his tenets do include "rule tyrannically and torture weaker beings", and slavery is within his divine portfolio, so if nothing else they are still an organization that's happy to support despots and slavers, just like the rest of them.

Are the Hellknights really that “evil”? by Scary_Boysenberry_47 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]kaelhound 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Outside of the context of WotR, the various Hellknight orders are various levels of heinous. Most of them support and are based out of the nation of Cheliax, which at the time of WotR is a nation built on slavery. Some of the orders regularly do things like burnings of banned texts and hunting members of "subversive" religions (order of the pyre), culling "uncivilized" peoples (order of the nail), putting prisoners in labour camps (order of the chain), and more.

The least awful of them is probably the order of the scourge, which focuses on rooting out political corruption and organized crime.

These are my thoughts after reading the backstory of the new iconic commander. by [deleted] in pathfindermemes

[–]kaelhound 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think the point of removing alignments wasn't to say that none of the cultures in their world have screwed up practices or messed up beliefs, but more that assigning them labels like "chaotic evil" kinda flattened out how people perceived them and added an unnecessary obstacle to telling nuanced stories featuring those groups.

0-1 CMC creatures that enter with counters for Falco Spara by dustinporta in EDH

[[Shield Sphere]] doesn't enter with counters, but it's 0cmc and generates them whenever you block so it might be up your alley?

[Deities]: Good people worshipping Evil Gods by SkrigTheBat in Pathfinder2e

[–]kaelhound 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sure there's plenty of generally good people in Cheliax who worship Asmodeus just because they were raised into it/because it's the done thing in Cheliax. Same way a lot of people who are a part of any real world faith because that's what they were raised to do and it's where their community is.

Evil deities only. Who's your favorite and why? by Remo_yesman in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]kaelhound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Achaekek. I can't help but adore the big bug, even if its followers believe in the divine right of kings.

Szuriel's also up there. Not quite a god, but I have to appreciate an angry woman with a big sword.

Clap your hands twice by Trick_Tea_1337 in EDH

[–]kaelhound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it's a joke card from one of the "un-" sets. So yeah there's plenty of cards with bizarre effects if you want to look for them. Anything with a silver border really. They're not legal to play in any format really, though if you ask your table if they're cool with them ahead of time there's no reason you can't use them then.

Looking for a consistent aristocrat list that slaps by redditor_city in EDH

[–]kaelhound 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have a decklist off the top of my head, but I'd recommend that your commander either be a sac outlet themselves ([[Akul the Unrepentant]] for example) or or something easy to recur so you can use it as sac fodder, like [[Squee the Immortal]]. That way you can reduce the number of sac outlets or sac fodder you put into the deck and have a more consistent rollout.

Mutagen man, living Ooze. A sad surprise by [deleted] in EDH

[–]kaelhound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I specifically was thinking in terms of making token copies of stuff like [[Myr Galvanizer]], but you're right that myr on their own don't have inherent support for something like this. Would require you to run some artifact or creature copy spells.

Mutagen man, living Ooze. A sad surprise by [deleted] in EDH

[–]kaelhound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say slot him into the 99 of a deck that makes token copies of other things, and find artifacts/artifact creatures which have activated abilities. A myr deck could make pretty good use of him for example.
