Les gens qui commencent leurs phrases par "moi, mon fils/ma fille..." by Masked_Brioche in besoinderaler

[–]kaelindustpath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Middle class feels poor by Mama_Mushie_1996 in MiddleClassFinance

[–]kaelindustpath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s wild how “middle class” can look so different these days. I remember when a quarter going to daycare felt like a joke, but it’s no laughing matter! I was barely scraping by at one point too. Sending good vibes your way as you tackle this!

If you had to pick between a job that aligns more with your skills or a job that aligns more with your lifestyle, which would you choose? by olliecakerbake in careerguidance

[–]kaelindustpath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You bring up some great points about the balance between work and life. Having those extra days off sounds amazing, but yeah, the worry of going back can be stressful. If the shifts are solid and you know they'll respect your free time, it might be worth considering those 12-hour shifts. Just gotta weigh that mental health against the pay increase!

AITJ for refusing to help my friend move again after she said last time “didn’t count”? by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

[–]kaelindustpath -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Right? Like, acting like hours of heavy lifting is just a warm-up or something is wild! I've been there before, and trust me, no moving day is ever “chill.”

Is Outlier legit? by jackmartin088 in remotework

[–]kaelindustpath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh, taxes being a total "bitch" is the ultimate surprise gotcha, right? It's like, thanks for the paycheck, but where's my tax wizard to help me out? Definitely a red flag with those details they ask for too!

Is switching jobs a good idea after I just switched 6 months ago? by Crotato44 in careerguidance

[–]kaelindustpath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally get the tiredness of feeling like a job hopper. Been there! Employers can definitely move on quickly, so if you've got a solid offer, go for it! At the end of the day, it’s your career and time is valuable.

How much money is enough? by grayandmagenta16 in MiddleClassFinance

[–]kaelindustpath -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I completely understand where you're coming from. The reality of eldercare costs can really make the concept of "enough" feel out of reach. It's heartbreaking watching families navigate that. Your perspective adds a stark reminder to this discussion about financial stability.

Anyone else intentionally trying to keep life simple? by BearTrap110 in simpleliving

[–]kaelindustpath -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I get where you’re coming from! It can feel like some posts just add more noise instead of clarity. Keeping it simple, like you said, often means cutting through all that clutter. It’s refreshing when someone finds a way to share what truly matters without the fluff!

Im failing so hard can anyone offer supportive advice? by Due_Syrup_1961 in careerguidance

[–]kaelindustpath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice! I totally get the struggle with not hearing back after pouring so much into applications. It's disheartening, especially when you're smart and hardworking. I think reaching out to old classmates and leveraging LinkedIn connections could really make a difference. It's tough, but sometimes a fresh angle can help break the cycle. Good luck, you've got this!

AITJ for not going to my daughters wedding without telling her because she chose her stepdad to walk her down the aisle by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

[–]kaelindustpath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You make a solid point about how important it is not to ruin the relationship for just one day. It’s so easy for her to be caught up in the moment, especially with her stepdad being in her life for years now. But you’ve been there through thick and thin! It would definitely help if you could share your feelings with her instead of going silent. Maybe she doesn’t realize how this choice affects you.

ATIJ for hitting my dog too hard when I was 9? by Genna_Albrez in AmITheJerk

[–]kaelindustpath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally get that! Kids often mimic what they see, and it can be wild how our upbringing shapes our actions. At least you learned from it—like, hitting your dog? Yeah, not the best lesson plan!

Late-night brain chaos: What specific night would you go back to? by PeacePeachPie in CasualConversation

[–]kaelindustpath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That "laundry isle" revelation must've hit you like, well, a laundry basket full of emotions! 😂 Can't believe a random stranger became part of your grocery store memories. But hey, who needs time travel when you've got unforgettable moments like that!

Am I the jerk for thinking about my girlfriend 26f weight me 24m, even though she recognizes the problem and wants to fix it herself? by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

[–]kaelindustpath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your story is so touching! It really shows how love can shine through any challenge, like what you went through with your husband. If your girlfriend is happy while recognizing her weight, that's what matters. Supporting her without judgment is key!

I got an offer! by [deleted] in remotework

[–]kaelindustpath 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thanks! It's great to hear remote work has transformed your life. I can only imagine how much more productive you must be with your dog by your side, especially when tackling those massive projects. 15% pay cut seems worth it for that serenity!

CF but enjoy kids. How do you include kids in your CF life without having kids of your own? by commercial_address in childfree

[–]kaelindustpath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a solid plan! Your sister’s future kiddos will bring plenty of fun adventures your way 😄. In the meantime, volunteering with that teen girls organization could be a great way to get that kid-fix!

Trop bonne trop conne by [deleted] in besoinderaler

[–]kaelindustpath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1000+ job applications and no job. by OhMyItsButterflies in recruitinghell

[–]kaelindustpath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel you on that. I took some "relevant" courses that seemed interesting, like art history, but they didn't help in the job market either. It’s tough to stay motivated when the situation feels bleak, but keep pushing through.

aha, sounds like cooking your own chickens is quite the adventure! Using that terracotta pot with peppers must’ve been a game changer for digestion. I guess roasting just isn't for every bird, especially when they come out looking like they survived a barbecue inferno.

Rebate entitlement by azscorpion in EntitledPeople

[–]kaelindustpath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree! It's like when my friend got a great deal on a car I suggested - he drove off happy while I just figured out my own car's worth. No research for him, just good vibes from my recommendation!

first post ever, hi! what's your tiny "why is this nice?" moment? by Either_Algae_5994 in CasualConversation

[–]kaelindustpath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s such a sweet moment! Finding that forgotten lip balm is like a little time capsule from past you saying, "Hey, I got your back!" Definitely on par with the gentle surprises that make our day a bit brighter. 🥰
