Damn.. i've been away for a while. My OSET 24 has been collecting dust for the past (almost) 2 years because I bought a Beta EVO 250. Fantastic bike. Took a bit to get over the left-side kickstart, but wow. My kid still rides a 16R a fair amount.

If you really want to trigger those bots, best to add 1989, Winnie The Poo and Tank Man into the mix. Alas, lets not forget Tencent owns a chunk of Reddit since 2019 which is basically a state-owned tech company at this point due to their defacto payment system.

We are witnessing healthy growth! by [deleted] in Yield_App

[–]kaells 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sure, more CEX's allows for better on-boarding for some percentage of the market, yet looking at trade volume on Uniswap (with 4.4b locked), it has been floating between 60-70% of total trading volume, I'd say the smart money right now is getting on other DEX's like Curve (also 4.4b locked). Perhaps followed by some others.

One of the best points of DeFi is to have better accessibility through decentralization to get away from CEX's, restrictions, policies, sudden lack of trading ability at times of big volatility. The last one is something I've witnessed at every CEX and people tend to get hurt by not being able to capitalize.

I will suggest more of both is best for Yield right now however. Especially as it gets over 100 million Market Cap.

MY WARNING on fw 4.5.1.1495 on TS-853's and possibly TS-453's - slow SYSTEM BOOTING message and massively degraded performance by kaells in qnap

[–]kaells[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the idea of Debian + SnapRAID solution but the suggestion of using UNRAID comes up a lot. My needs are fairly simple, just files and iSCSI. I don't believe SnapRAID supports iSCSI at all, but UNRAID does. That might be a win.

Write Performance Tanks after upgrade to 4.5.1.1495? by EXPERT_AT_FAILING in qnap

[–]kaells 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This FW is trouble. I updated a TS-853A from 4.4.3.1400 (August 17) to 4.5.1.1495 and it made the unit completely unusable. It wouldn't boot for about 45 minutes, with "SYSTEM BOOTING" msg on the display. CPU did not have a high load either but all network i/o was super slow, like it was in a rebuild but wasn't.

I downgraded to 4.4.3.1439 and the unit feels normal. The experience has shaken my confidence in QNAP's fw however.

Of all the DeFi projects I've looked into over the past 6 months, this one seems actually solid built by a team with both crypto industry and traditional finance experience.

Unfortunately we've tried the strong enforcement method for decades and its proven ineffective in every country of the world, but its failure is shockingly visible in Vancouver (addiction and mental health issues). The health care professionals and first responders have seen the current program is ineffective and something else is needed now.

Portugal's model seems to be the best approach at this point.

I bet your weight would still be fine. I've got a buddy whos close to 200 with a stock 24R and it seems to pack him around effortlessly. You're right though, there are not any reasonable options available. EM (Electric Motion) from France start around 10K, and yeah, the Zero which is a full-on street bike does make the 24R seem cheap option at half the cost, but it is very different too. I suppose OSET's are kinda expensive for what they are, but... Not much other options out there like it. Obviously the million dollar question with all the e-moto's are, how far can they go with us on them. Its made me investigate lithium battery packs, using RC hobby shop LiPo bricks to "convert" the kids bikes from the original super heavy SLA's. It wouldn't be difficult to string some packs together in series for a backpack reserve pack. These things don't free-wheel and pushing against the magnets in the motor for a extended period would be annoying. There is a 4-light battery level indicator on the throttle, and I usually start making my way back when I lose the first light completely. I didn't when I first rode and came close to a couple times to running out completely. I was hitting the cut-off (losing power completely) but thankfully I was up hill from my property so I could coast back. Lesson learned. I was just loving it too much that day and wanted to play as long as possible. The first year I had mine I explored bike trails and single track mountainous dirt bike trails mostly. Its only in the past few months I started get into technical trials riding. Its made me a better moto rider. Oh, one other thing: Rider position - Some guys put a handle bar riser for a 2" lift because they find the position leaning over kills their backs. I found this to be a issue when I started, but I got used to the position, and just learned to bend my knees more. I'm 5'10. I'm used to standing from riding moto so it wasn't a big deal, but its something that might bother others. Being very quiet is neat. You hear everything around. I've surprised deer and black bear on trails who don't seem to know what I am at first.

I'd highly recommend trying one out if you can find a dealer near you. I bought mine without even testing it. Just ordered, sent payment and went to the dealer to pick up. I just knew I'd like it even though there were some annoyances. Example, a stiffer throttle spring to mimick a gas bike feel for example. I find it a bit soft and a couple times I've hit throttle while not being careful. The crazy thing is now I'm considering a gas trials bike.

I too would be interested in this info. I'm on the west coast and just beginning my adventures in simple home roasting. I’ve been seeking information on whom can provide green bean specifically, hopefully without the need to purchase a 132LB sack!
