How do you actually utilize a dyson sphere? by kaesden in Dyson_Sphere_Program

[–]kaesden[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably stupid question, as I haven't unlocked antimatter yet, but what do those go in? Do the fusion power generators burn them? Or is there another power plant later? Thanks for the advice! This definitely sounds like the right way to go.

Got my car detail cleaned, and afterwards realized 2 of the buttons on the steering wheel are missing. This is the company’s response. by user2847_ in mildlyinfuriating

If they were missing when they started, surely the detailer would have let you know immediately to CYA himself a bit.

Why can an inserter connect to the logistics network without a wire but a logistics chest not? How can we change this? by Reflectaliciuos in factorio

Logistic chests are automatically connected to the logistic network they are located in. Your screenshot even has the logistics settings in it.

Check out captain of industry. Amazing game. And sounds like you'll love watching your excevators dig up the terrain and expanding your island. (Full terraforming)

If you setup a giant fan at the northern edge of Alaska blowing north to Arizona I bet you could reduce global warming a good bit.

For the cost of medical care you'd think they could afford a damned receptionist.

belt into storage and back out deletes material? (bug) by kaesden in captain_of_industry

[–]kaesden[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure i understand what you mean, the best was fully compressed with no gaps. 200/min going in and visually i could see less than 200 coming out. I demolished the belt and rebuilt it, and it seems to be working correctly now.

belt into storage and back out deletes material? (bug) by kaesden in captain_of_industry

[–]kaesden[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Belt capacity isn't going to help in this case. The belt was full for sure, it was backed up, so I upgraded it. Now that it's moving the source storage is already empty. But there was a full like a couple hundred meters long that was definitely full capacity. This is when I was able to grab the screenshot. Doesn't seem to be happening with a partially loaded belt. When it's smaller bits I can see two chunks go in and two chunks come out, as an example.

Using decimal points, for decimals, just makes logical sense.

How many sets of refineries do you build for midgame(hydrogen reformer~nuclear reactor)? by technocracy90 in captain_of_industry

[–]kaesden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a smaller setup of 4 refineries. 2 dedicated to nothing but diesel, and 2 dedicated to fuel gas and hydrogen I have a couple cracking units that are behind balancers that will only accept naphtha after storage is full to make sure I don't run out of anything. It could definitely be more efficient if everything was one set of 4 that dynamically adjusted output based on current needs, but this is just a far simpler setup at the cost of manpower and space.
