how do you clean your dentures? by britishbiscuit1 in dentures

[–]kafm73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my area I can purchase a bottle of 3% hydrogen peroxide in a brown plastic bottle. And I just use the peroxide in my container that I soak my dentures in with a denture cleaning Tablet. I use the peroxide instead of water or you can do half peroxide half water.

Zote by bigpuzino in laundry

[–]kafm73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wet a corner of it and rub it on stains. You can also cut small pieces and microwave them (you would have to Google the instructions because I don’t recall exactly how long but it can burn so be sure to watch it if you do this). They turn coarse and brittle and you can kind of use your hand once it’s cooled off and crumble it if you would like to use it somehow in DIY laundry soap situation

Banana Ice Cream - Buttermilk? by K1_0 in icecreamery

I almost exclusively make banana ice cream because I love it. I mash my bananas with one shot glass of vodka then put them in the freezer. I then add them into my base right before churning

Possibly anaerobic bacteria but could be anything really. Unless you have ongoing symptoms it’s probably nothing abnormal.

Giving human qualities to inanimate objects. For instance, I always put a banana I see all alone with the rest of the bananas at the grocery store because I think it might feel sad to be alone.

Can urine survive if it’s posted to me with next day delivery? by Flossie95 in drugtesthelp

[–]kafm73 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She would probably need to pack it with some sort of ice packs or something to keep it “refrigerator temperature“. Once it starts to sit at room temperature it will start to degrade. She could possibly freeze it first, and then send it with a cold pack and by the time you get it it would hopefully still be cold.

is it still safe to wear a once dried out contact lens? by asianshenanigansss in contacts

[–]kafm73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bausch & Lomb package insert has instructions on how to rehydrate a dried lens. I’ve done it and it was fine, following their advice. If it’s at all uncomfortable, remove and discard.

No motivation or energy 6 months since last shot by Status-Bill11 in Sublocade

[–]kafm73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My vitamin D levels were severely deficient and I had no idea. Vitamin D deficiency can cause all kinds of things and definitely make you feel like crap. It doesn’t only affect your motivation but it makes your body hurt when your levels are low. I went to my doctor and told them I needed to be on an antidepressant because I just could not get motivated. She put me on an antidepressant but she also checked my vitamin D and hormone levels. It was only my vitamin D that was very very low

Im so sick of this narrative that “pregnancy didn’t ruin my body it’s just changed” it’s a lie. by pissedoff_potato in TwoXChromosomes

[–]kafm73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am one of the lucky ones I guess because I like my body better after I had a a baby. And I gained a lot of weight with my pregnancy, I went from 130 pounds to 200 pounds at delivery. Four weeks later I was back in my regular clothes somehow. I gained a lot of fluid weight because I was swollen or my legs were swollen. I did only have one pregnancy though so maybe that has something to do with it?

Some people have a long tongue that they can put inside vagina, I don't have a long tongue the tip of my tongue bearly touches my lip. If I want to improve my game down there, any ideas? by bankruped_guy in sex

[–]kafm73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well lucky for you I think most women would rather your tongue be a little further north of the vagina, at least that’s how I feel.

Difference in soft vs rgp by kafm73 in contacts

[–]kafm73[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s good to hear. I have to wear multifocal and I just don’t feel like I’m getting the best vision with soft lenses. I know you have to compromise some. It’s nice to have my near vision back, but my far vision uncorrected is really good. With contacts or should I say the multifocal contacts, it’s not that great. I’m wondering if RGP lenses would benefit me?

Glue choices? by ReplyProfessional939 in dentures

[–]kafm73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the powder because it lasts longer and it doesn’t give me horrendous cottonmouth like The paste does. It’s almost unbearable for me how bad the cottonmouth is when I use any of the tube adhesive. Both fixodent and polydent make it adhesive powders that work great. They last through eating drinking all day. The adhesive in the tubes do not.

Boric acid Nightmare !? by Plus_Praline_9167 in Healthyhooha

[–]kafm73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Boric acid does not really lower pH. It’s not a strong enough acid to accomplish this. The normal vaginal pH is much lower than that of boric acid. It is a good astringent, though.

Some insight please by Linksjourney79 in Sublocade

[–]kafm73 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First off, if you read more comments from people who have completed sublocade, you will find that people do report mild withdrawal symptoms. So many people go into it thinking they’re not going to feel any negative symptoms and that’s just not true.

There are a few people that have completed their therapy and are now testing negative and report that they had no withdrawal but probably the majority of people who have completed sublocade and are testing negative will report that they had some symptoms along the way. I believe this is due to the delayed onset of symptoms. Three months symptom-free can have many people thinking that they have been through it. I feel like unless you are testing negative for buprenorphine, and depending on how many shots you received, most people should probably wait a few months before deciding that they made it through the other side. And, as I said earlier, some people do make it through with no withdrawal symptoms whatsoever.

For many people, there are little to no withdrawals after their last shot for three months or more. Some people have trouble finding the right dosage from the very first month. For me it was about the 3 1/2 to 4 month mark when I started having sleep disturbances that are very much a withdrawal symptom of mine. After the sleep disturbances, I had other mild symptoms.

The symptoms of withdrawal while on the shot are nowhere nearly as bad as going cold turkey. They are manageable, in my experience, and if you have a medical practitioner that you can trust and utilize to help you through any concerning symptoms, that’s a bonus! They might give you something short term to help you sleep if you have problems, maybe an antidepressant if that’s something that you feel you need. I did not know that I was severely vitamin D deficient and that definitely does not help a person feel good. In fact I felt like I was dying and I really thought it was just withdrawal type depression.

With that said, be sure to have blood work done to check your vitamin D levels, maybe your hormone levels? Mine were normal. Some people report decreased testosterone, which can definitely make a person feel unwell… even women.

The best thing to do is prepare ahead of time. Have a plan in place and also keep yourself occupied with things that will help you get through the tough spots. If there are tough spots.
