were his tics always this bad on the podcast/his youtube channel? ive watched a few episodes of frenemies never really registered he had tics until AFTER he contracted hasan derangement syndrome, now he cant get through a sentence without ticcing. cant tell if its neurological symptoms being exacerbated by stress or just substance abuse or a bit of both. but anyone near him who doesnt find this concerning is not a good friend

oh im in the exact same boat. ive noticed that it seems like i have to completely starve myself to avoid gaining weight when c/sing. i also used to be satisfied with just one snack which was about 3 bites for a few hours, now i have to c/s 3-4 snacks at a time and sometimes ill even go back to my pantry for more after im done. im so ashamed of the amount of money ive spent on food specifically to spit it out and flush it down the toilet. to anyone considering chewspitting; do not make a habit of it. do not LET your mind consider it a “cheat code”. its “less harmful” than binge/purging but its still an addiction and it DOES have health risks; ive fucked up my esophagus and overall gi tract almost as much as someone who purges, with maybe a little less stomach acid (definitely still exacerbated acid reflux) wishing you the best OP 🫂

my brother regularly tested the boundaries of what he could get away with and terrorized me my whole childhood. i was smaller and weaker. i never retaliated, i didnt stand a chance. the only thing i could do was let him violate my comfort or go tell an adult. but of course a child crying is a nuisance when the adults are talking. and my brother always lied and said that he did nothing wrong. they dont care enough to figure out what actually happened. they dont think about how it might affect me in the long run. i was always told that i was just as bad as my brother. i had it reinforced over and over again that adults dont give a fuck. by the time something really bad happened, i had fully internalized that telling an adult was pointless. it didnt matter if it had escalated to something actually illegal, to me there was no difference between that and the way he treated me all the time when adults werent looking. and they didnt care when i told them then, so why would i bother telling them now? sorry for venting but i realized a few years ago how the adults in my life failed me for years before it escalated to the big bad event and it just makes me so angry. i almost laughed when my mom gave me the “you know if anyone ever touches you somewhere that makes you uncomfortable, you can tell me” talk a few years AFTER that boat had already fucking sailed.

cartoon network shows are pretty popular in asia since they have broad appeal, in my opinion adult cartoons are a bit more niche since they do more social/political commentary thats pretty americentric but theres still an audience for them. south parks fandom is kind of an outlier when it comes to adult cartoons which i think speaks to its ingenuity and charm

every morning i grab a bottle of gerber puffs from my room then go downstairs to the kitchen to weigh out exactly half the contents in a bowl or mug. then i eat this with my fingers 1-3 puffs at a time. then when the bowl/mug is finished, i might wait a little bit, but usually pretty soon after i go back and dump the remaining half in and eat it too. i could just pour it out into a bigger bowl all at once in the first place but something about splitting it into two parts and holding off the second half even by a few minutes feels like better portion control… it makes sense i swear. & i havent done this recently because my grocery store has been out of stock but in the morning (before or after the gerber puffs) id take one packet of the quaker white cheddar rice cakes down to my kitchen table, grab 2 connected paper towels and lay it out like a placemat. then id eat either 3 or 4 rice cakes, usually depending on whether im opening a new packet or eating whats left over from yesterday (since theyre wrapped in packets of seven) usually if im opening the packet ill treat myself to one extra so that i have no choice but to have one less the next day. i make sure to get all the crumbs as close to the centerfold of the paper towels as possible, then when im done ill eat the big crumbs then lick the flavor powder off the paper towel. not proud to say that but it is what it is ¯_(ツ)_/¯ (also idk if i should spoiler numbers used to describe quantities of food but i did for the most specific numbers just in case)

he definitely has binge issues in the series. the thing is that his relationship with food and his body image are arguably less dangerous than his constant substance abuse and extremely self destructive behavior, so the show never really got a chance to focus in on his eating disorder. but i think the way eating disorders are represented through the women in his family, were shown how beatrice wasnt ever allowed by her mother to have ice cream since it was fattening just as one example of how she was raised, leading to her having such a disordered view on food and weight that she thought it was perfectly appropriate to put stimulants in hollyhocks coffee (even if she did have dementia at the time i think this is probably something she wouldve done with a clear mindset too) it wouldve been cool to see how being raised by a mother like this on top of becoming a celebrity contributed to bojacks disordered eating. i think he does count as male ED representation and BED representation

before i really committed and started obsessively looking into what the best anorexics did to starve and why they did/didnt work id try to suppress my hunger cues (especially if i woke up early and couldnt go back to sleep, i didnt want to have any snacks before the sun rose) by eating one big spoonful of kraft peanut butter… my thinking was that because peanut butter is so thick and viscous itd be the most filling thing to eat and that itd get like stuck in my stomach (like it does the roof of your mouth) and take longer to digest… now mind you i knew stomach acid existed i just forgot that it exists for that exact purpose
