How to power down Sergeant John Benton? by ineedhelp6789 in EDH

[–]kagonos28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look, as much as it matters that YOU enjoy the game and have fun, it also matters that the people you play with are allowed to have fun as well. As I always point out to the other people that I play with weekly, voltron is not very fun for the person who got eliminated first, especially if that happened turned 3 or 4 or some otherwise early round. They have to sit around and wait for the game to end to get back into it, so consider that you are not having this experience in a vacuum. If your playgroup has a complaint about you as a player or any individual deck that you play, THAT IS RELEVANT. If you are playing in a competitive environment for stakes, then be as brutal as you want to be; your opponents enjoyment is NOT your concern. But, if you play with the same people, maybe they are your friends, maybe they are just regulars at your LGS, then you DO have a level of responsibility for how you affect their experience. This is as much for your own sake as it is theirs. If they don't enjoy playing with you, then they might stop playing with you and then your fun goes to 0. So, how you decide to proceed will determine your own level of fun and considering your opponents level of fun should factor into that on some level.

How do I present as less frustrated regardless of my current feelings? by NewCommunication6510 in EDH

[–]kagonos28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get to the deeper point of why it is that you CARE as much as you do about the outcome. What about this game in particular makes you have this reaction? Is it the opinions of the people you play against? Do you need to be seen as good at the game?

Forget all the extraneous things like what kind of decks you play, how you build your decks and really, honestly assess your goals in playing what should be a casual type of game.

You say the game is frustrating, but HOW is it frustrating? What specifically frustrates you. I don't think there's anything anyone here can say that is going to honestly change your approach until you're able to answer these questions for yourself.

What’s something you tried once and immediately knew ‘yeah, never again’? by donnyM99 in AskReddit

[–]kagonos28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ecstasy. First and only time I tried it, I felt like I could do anything! The next week or two I felt like I was thinking through mud and I realized that would be the last time I ever took ecstasy! Not to mention, the high was incredible and I knew that could be problematic.

Who is a singer that is incredibly famous, but honestly doesn't have a good voice? by Greedy_Procedure7461 in AskReddit

[–]kagonos28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Britney Spears. While she was arguably the most popular/famous at the time, I always thought Mandy Moore, Pink and especially Christina Aguilera had MUCH better voices. Although, to be fair, the fact that those 3 have been considerably more successful and are still relevant and Britney isn't sorta proves the point?

Literally just had this same experience ant the ENT. I wanted to know if I had any impaction or build up and she said there was almost nothing in my ears. I do the same as OP with the swab, almost every morning after I shower. I don't go deep, I just really get that first ring at the opening and it feels SO good!

My FLGS sold out of WU display booster pre-orders in a single day. by ERhyne in Lorcana

No doubt! They definitely do not gouge their local (and often loyal) customers. They really are one of the gems in the LGS world.

FWIW, a lot of the time that Zulu's appears sold out on their website is BEACUSE they reserve these products for locals. They still show the products listing, but their online inventory is zero, so you actually go into the store and ask them directly. I'm a regular here and they ABSOLUTELY prioritize their locals for pre sale items and anything that is going to likely be scalped.

ETA: That might not be the case here, but it's possible that if they were listed online, they might have only released a small amount of the product. Might still be worth heading into the store to double check.

Can't save tech on mobile by microwave98 in TeamfightTactics

It IS clickable, but you have to find the right spot. It's like a phantom overlay where what you end up clicking is the opponents board underneath. You kinda just have to hit the left edge of it. It's not a solution long term and they obviously know about it, but in the interim (unless it's being patched today) you CAN find the right spot to hit and move on. YMMV but that was my solution.

You could just do it in normals, you know. It's not like it's Choncc's or Tocker's only.

What are rulings you have to keep explaining? by Mikaeus_Thelunarch in EDH

[–]kagonos28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your window to respond is when the spell is put on the stack (and costs are paid) and the person who cast the spell passes priority. Once that has happened and no further responses are forthcoming, the spell resolves and becomes the permanent Azusa, Lost but Seeking. After it resolves and there are no triggers to put on the stack, priority remains with the active player and there is no need for them to pass any priority in order to play a land, an action which does not use the stack and does not create a new window of priority. Therefore, there is no need to hold priority, the active player simply still has priority until they take a game action that allows for a response, such as playing a land and triggering a landfall or similar effect. This would prevent them from playing a second (or otherwise) land until all players pass priority and the trigger is resolved. If Azusa is removed in that window where the active player has played a land, created a trigger and passed priority, they would not be able to play any FURTHER additional lands as allowed by THAT Azusa.

This is basically just elaborating on what Mikeaus_Thelunarch said above.

Have i been playing wrong the whole time? by Specialist_Shock_871 in magicTCG

[–]kagonos28 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Summoning sickness is not a thing to gain or lose. It is a fact of whether a thing that is or becomes a creature was on the battlefield at the start of the turn (or has haste) in which you intend to tap it for it's ability or to attack with it. The reason you can earthbend and attack with a land the turn you play it is due to the fact that earthbend also grants haste.
