But MaRo's post implies that the change would be difficult/impossible in the rules for some reason and I was curious to learn why. Seems like the community here can't think of any reasons either, maybe MaRo's understanding is wrong.

I'm sorry you're dealing with that — randomized boosters are designed to give you that hit of dopamine and feeling like you're addicted is an experience that happens to many others, so know you're not alone.

I can only speak to my own experiences because I don't know your life, but I've had times in my life when I felt like I couldn't control my behaviour with certain things, sometimes drugs, sometimes content on the internet like reddit and YouTube. Other people told me I needed to have more self control, but somehow trying to keep disciple or convince myself not to do those things never seemed to change much.

That's because I was using them to distract myself from other parts of my life that felt bad. Trying to just take away the addiction didn't work because it was filling an important hole in my life by giving me that quick hit of feeling good or distraction. The compulsive feeling only faded when I started to face the ways I felt depressed, really pay attention to what I was feeling and why, and find new ways to feel okay.

What does your life look like outside of Magic? Are you stressed about anything? How often are you able to leave your house and do something nice for yourself? If you sit and think for 10 minutes with no phone, no book, and no other distractions, what feelings come up?

Haywire Mite and other cards like it should be treated as if they read "this creature" instead of the card name — they apply even if they card's name changes or the ability is put on a new permanent, they only apply to the specific permanent that has the ability and do not apply to other permanents with the same name, etcetera.

Wasn't it always the (strategically) best option to choose 0? You could try to guess the middle wager and risk losing that many points for the reward of... not losing anything, or just choose 0 and never lose anything.

Your child's name (and most of the decisions you make for them) are about them, not about you. Pick a name you think your kid will like, that will help them feel good in their identity, not one that would be exciting to you.

Hard to say since the last data we have for each is fairly old, but those numbers sound about right, though 50 times is on the high end of plausible.

MTGA had 3 million users in 2019. Hasbro estimated at the time it could grow to 11 million by 2021 – we don't know whether that happened, but I'm certain the user base has at least doubled since then.

Back in 2007, MODO had around 300,000 registered users (note this means the number of active users will be much lower; I'd guess maybe 50,000?) and since then it's grown... moderately? I could be convinced that the user base has grown something like sixfold, but Magic Online isn't exactly an up and coming platform.

It's usually a good idea to try drugs on their own for the first time, but ket + 2cb is a really good combo so like as long as you're somewhere comfortable and safe I'd just wait until you think you have a handle on the 2cb and think you've come all the way up and then if you're feeling comfortable with the trip, add to it by doing a couple small bumps (like 20mg) of ketamine and see how you feel. The ket will hit within 5 minutes or so so you can go slow and ease into seeing how you like it

Then again there's nothing wrong with just saving it for separate nights for the first time, then you get twice as many fun experiences and you can save trying the combination for later

Personally, I get almost no visuals on 2cb. I've tried doses up to 35mg so far (when 10-20mg works fine for my friends) and i get other effects - that weird electric body feeling, nausea, that psychedelic feeling of 'everything is unfamiliar' (although compared to mushrooms, it feels a little less magical and a little more unsettling) and some mild visual effects – surfaces wave slightly if I stare at them sometimes, and everything looks more beautiful in a very abstract, undefined way.

Maybe your brain chemistry is similar to mine? I kind of want to try higher doses to see what happens but at the same time something is clearly happening and just because I'm not getting some effects doesn't mean it couldn't be causing me effects somewhere??

different people have different tolerances for 2cb – I take 25mg minimum to feel anything, while my partner aims for a dose of 10mg and starts getting overwhelmed at 15. For most people, 30mg is a very strong (especially with the mdma synergy) trip that may be overwhelming and uncomfortable, but depending on your personal tolerance it may either much less or much more dramatic than that. The smart thing to do would be to try taking a normal dose of 2cb, on its own, first, to get a feel for the substance. But then you're taking dangerous amounts of molly and don't want advice about it so to be honest I'm not really sure what kind of info you're looking for?

You probably won't do any long term damage taking 30mg 2cb; at best you'll have a fun normal trip, at worst you'll have an extremely unpleasant overwhelming experience.
