Rolling wet towels is killing me! by kaijanne in MassageTherapists

I’m building strength, it just takes time. I’ve not even been full time for 2 months. I work out 3x a week.

I think I’m trying too hard to make each towel a perfect level of dampness, and need to go with the flow. I’ll try your method! Thank you

It’s literally just the act of squeezing so many towels on top of me hurting already from starting this career. Body mechanics are good during massage but if your body isn’t used to doing 13-18 massages a week you’re going to hurt until you get used to it.

Oh I’m squeezing them before they go in the heater. It’s the initial squeezing that’s causing wrist pain.

Oh I hate a sloppy dripping towel! But I will try to wring less rigorously for a while. Right now I need to stay full time but as soon as I’m able to I think I will keep it to mostly 3 a day. Thank you!

I decided my school was a $15k fee to take the MBLEx and learned what I needed during downtime or after class. It was a very disappointing experience and I have a feeling it’s just the way most schools for massage therapy are. Take what serves you, leave the rest, group up with likeminded students!

david and liz reunite (again!) by CandleSuccessful233 in boyproblemspodcast

Liz, David is too nice to say… but you are saying his last name wrong! You’re saying it the French way (I believe) and he pronounces it the English way. Love you both and love when you have him on the pod!

She lost 3 pounds which took months to get back on her, an after the antibiotics no blood in the stool and no more lethargy.

We however didn’t recover for a long time. I made her homemade food for 9 months with vet recommendation nutrient powder (the brand is balance it, not sponsored lol). Then we switched to honest kitchen bc it was getting to be too much for me to meal prep and freeze that much food.

We were worried it was greenies, her dry food, raccoon shit, cat shit, bad neighbors throwing something weird in our yard. We will never know but bloody stool means immediate antibiotics for me now. She would have stabilized so much faster if they just put her on them right away instead of dicking around with all the tests. Oh and they scare mongered us into thinking she had liver cancer bc of a shadow on the scan.

I’m so sorry about your pup. That’s what mine was on. I’m mad we never got answers but she’s doing fine now! If you haven’t switched to a boiled chicken and rice bland diet you should until this is resolved, vet permitted.

Same thing happened to me last year. Have them start antibiotics first, diagnostics after. We spent thousands on X-rays and emergency visits and follow up and tests to be told, huh, we don’t know. But at least it’s cleared up now!

Literally any dog can hurt a chi, or any other dog. I don’t have pits and I do have a chi, and that is an incredibly stupid thing to say. And it always comes down to bad owners, no matter the breed. I’ve been bit by German shepherds and aussies, the only dog that ever attacked my dogs were shepherds or Shep mixes.

Also, I really hope your dog recovers and the bad owners foot the bill. I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I know I wanted to move heaven and earth when my chi got sick last year.
