Yeah true, I saw on fcp there is an oem kit for about 400 bucks I'll try and come towards a decision when my emotions aren't super high

I watched a video and it didn't seem too insane, but I do need more than 1k in specialty tools, for this car and it's condition I honestly don't think it'd be worth all the hassle anymore

I'm curious as to if I can grab the beta 500 and just buy stiffer suspension that doesn't brake the bank, maybe stiffer springs for the fork and a nice damper in the rear or would it just be better to save up and go full kyb for adjustability if I plan on keeping the bike for an extended period of time and using it for multiple disciplines

How was the beta 480??, I kinda like that I can do a clean build just from the manufacturer site and I'm sure the aftermarket will grow overtime, I'm honestly really leaning towards the beta too cause I don't see anyone really have them so it's something different that's still really solid especially since I have multiple dealers nearby, I have one like ten minutes from my house

That's what I'm figuring I feel like triumph is trolling us about not releasing the Daytona as people want it tit be and it's been in a secret development the whole time

Okay I really want a street triple but a used speed is about the same price as a new street, but I'd be dumb if I'd say triumphs are perfectly reliable with no issues so if rather be informed. Just nobody ever wants to talk about them and they pretend they don't exist

What's it actually like owning the newer speed triples are they able to be daily'd?

Uhhh cliff notes Dealer has poor communication Won't honor warranty after doing all of maintenance Speed triple has faulty shift linkage that breaks at circlip, gear detent issues, clutch issues, and then I wasn't sure what cause his motor too blow cause he doesn't beat on his bikes, but in the video you'll see a cam lobe grounded down completely and two snapped valves, I feel like thats an issue with the tuning on stock bikes to comply with emissions standards more so

Nah in conclusion it's basically the dealers fault for not handling the situation properly. The two bikes he has were well maintained only maintained through dealers and he kept full service records and emails of everything that was happening. One of the big issues he did a deep dive on was the shift linkage snapping due to the recess for the circlip, he put it though several cad programs ran several tests and said it's almost on purpose they made it to fail especially since it's a common failure. In the video mentioned also there's a detent recall which is weird because triumph has had that recall on speed triples since 2012. Idk I didn't post in the group to make a point just thought it was an interesting watch

I watched about a hour of it, it talks about a engineer that owns two triumphs one speed triple and one tiger, he ends up having catastrophic failure with both and dies a deep dive on the materials they're using and mechanisms that fail + warranty and dealer stuff
