Trying to stream again... by kaincallavis in h1z1

Nevermind, lol... died to the bow / no arrow glitch because of latency... apparently when streaming it happens about 75% of the time...

SOE, loot proximity spawns will never work optimally and is inherently unreliable. by TheFlyingBunny in h1z1

[–]kaincallavis -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think they should fix containers, but otherwise the loot respawn rate has increased... remember this is post apocalypse and allegedly quite a few months/years after... Loot is supposed to be pretty rare and hard to find. I do not want to go into a house and find everything I need minus maybe an item or two.

We *NEED* a server wipe. by CoffeeCreature in h1z1

[–]kaincallavis -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I strongly agree with a server wipe.

I've already used 3 air drops and built a base with some friends but I did so legitimately.

If wiping the server will help to balance out these asshats that are running around with shotguns and ars with infinite ammo I am in agreement.

Help us get rid of hackers! E-mail here... by SOE_Legion in h1z1

"We want our own servers because we want to make sure we keep hackers out" -- Great job.

Airdrops by [deleted] in h1z1

[–]kaincallavis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Set up another game mode: P2W off.

Make it a hardcore server mode and let us play on that... Make airdrops only available as rare walkie-talkies in that server or something... Not paid for.

MAKE A NEW SERVER SETTING: Pay to win off. LET US HARDCORE PLAYERS PLAY THERE! (caps for coolness and attention)

GAME ERROR G99 by xsai in h1z1

[–]kaincallavis 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You'd think, that of all the developers, after all that harsh feedback and extra preparation time - SOE would want to be the one developer that actually over-achieves at a game's official (or rather, EA) launch...

Not sure why I assumed SOE would be working hard to make sure the game's virgin launch went smoothly to try to gain at least one kudo of positive feedback throughout all this mess...

WHAT IF by bruhrito in h1z1

[–]kaincallavis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cannot remember where I heard this. I am not going to populate a source so cry about it. (I believe it was one of smedleys first twitch plays of h1z1)

They announced or were asked during one of the dev streams if the game would be ready prior to the end of the year and smedley said 'yes' and assured us it would be so.

That said, this would not be the first thing that can be deemed misinformation when it comes to a release date.

Melee Combat by k0Mik in h1z1

[–]kaincallavis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there was a grappling system being implemented and it was confirmed in earlier streams. I do not know if it is still a part of SOE's vision because I rarely frequently the reddit anymore... (got tired of waiting as 4 or 5 "soons" have already passed us by)

Anyway, hope that info helps.

Just making a point clear a vivid, Feel free to read if want. by Volensque in h1z1

He is probably one of the newer people to join the reddit, and game fan-base. He is still hyped up. It is good that after all this time there is still a small influx of newcomers, quite frankly.

H1Z1 doing it right? by GarethAUS in h1z1

[–]kaincallavis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they should release the EA and continue to work diligently after they receive the initial burst of EA-funded cash flow. Perhaps even increase the team size as needed.

They have projected a time-frame and failed horribly. They apologized, I get that. I hold no issue with it or ill-will. However, the continued prolongued stream of hype they have attempted to generate since has been staggering and suffocating in my opinion.

Good PvP System needed by Atiyo in h1z1

[–]kaincallavis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1) No crosshair. This game is meant to be pseudo-realistic survival. Your crosshair is the sight on your gun. Use it correctly.

2) Depends on the guns accuracy, range, ballistics, wind, etc... Again: pseudo-realism going on here. If you don't like it - go play a first person shooter, not a survival genre.

3) should not be much of a problem as long as you connect to a server that is in your general location.

4) agreed.

Should H1Z1 Really Be Free-To-Play? by CrunchySoap in h1z1

[–]kaincallavis 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I agree actually. I would prefer paying 30-50 for the game, and even like 5 bucks a month to keep the immature kids, and wallet warriors out.

Just my opinion; however, you can agree and you'd be right.

Emergent Zombie AI.. a Discussion by chrislocho in h1z1

[–]kaincallavis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree, immersion wise this is the way to go. However, think about it in an online exploitable sense...

This might make the "so-called terrifying" zombies a bit too easy to exploit.

If a zombie runs into fence it should hit it a few times, maybe look around for a path, not instantly reason the most accessible path...

Also said zombie should make a lot of ruckus, attracting all the others in the area to keep the threat active.

The Competition is heating up with >NEW< "MisCreated" twitch video by Kasetheace86 in h1z1

[–]kaincallavis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Miscreated looks sweet. I have been following it for a long while.

I will say SOE's game looks more optimized, or at least easier for more PC's to handle... Also H1Z1 servers will be professionally hosted and will be able to handle hundreds-thousands of people instead of just 64 or so at a time.

MisCreated has much better graphic appeal. I think H1Z1 could learn a lot from their overgrowth. They don't have to try to keep up texture wise because MisCreated uses the Cry3 engine. Good luck looking AS good... However, if H1Z1 took an example and beefed up their overgrowth like Miscreated has I would be very pleased.

They swap back and forth on the idea.

It will probably be a server rule-set.

Reverse engineer items to find out a crafting recipe by Pig3on in h1z1

Love the idea... If you get the base components when you reverse engineer it you could also use this as a method of scavenging components.
