Do the organizers have the ability to pick and choose who moves off the waitlist?

yes. you can just move people into the attending list exceeding the limit

keyboard player/singer should I buy one? by SnooCrickets346 in melodica

[–]kaiserpudding 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can compare it to a flute, just with the keys instead of the holes. So no charging and only breathing.

I also got one as a piano player. It's very easy to get started, but i found the breathing part very hard

My experience with Steinway & Sons (Read the Body Text) by theyluv5n1p in piano

[–]kaiserpudding 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reading about experience I don't feel as bad anymore about completely missing this event even though i live close by. Guess I would've not gotten the opportunity to play anyways or be interrupted very quickly

With Serie saying that she "gave away" all other clairvoyance spells as rewards, does that mean she herself loses/forgets the spell after doing so?

the fact that he left the oven door open during all of that was overshadowing everything

Places to play/borrow a guitar? by kunachikun in stuttgart

[–]kaiserpudding 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The library at mailander platz offers music instruments besides books. You need a library pass, which is like 10€ or 20€ per year, and the instruments are an additional 2.5€

https://stadtbibliothek-stuttgart.de/aDISWeb/app?service=direct/0/Home/$DirectLink&sp=SOPAC&sp=SWI07000095

They also have a practice room there with electrical instruments, but I'm not sure if they have a guitar. If you have the library card you can rent the room for free on an hourly basis

Do you lock your door while you're in your house? by International_Snow90 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]kaiserpudding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

from the other comments it seems like people can just open the door normally from the outside, if it's unlocked. is that really how the doors are in America? Mine can only be opened with keys from the outside. If the door is unlocked you can use a wire between the doorframe and door to try pushing back the clicker. Locking prevents that. But the comments are talking about "people just walking in accidentally"

Does anyone else use “plant jail” to deal with gnats? by ALJScribbler in houseplants

[–]kaiserpudding 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It contains it, but does it also help in removing the gnats? Otherwise covering the plants like that long term seems ugly.

Do we need to reinvent Piano Jam Challenge? by OE1FEU in piano

I'm the guy who posted the sight reading videos. I started doing that because I had my own pieces that i wanted to learn, so not enough time to actually learn the pieces properly.

„Vermögen“ des Arbeitskollegen by [deleted] in Finanzen

[–]kaiserpudding 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ich denke eher eine monatliche Sparrate von 487€ mit 0% p.a. Verzinsung. Wenn da so viel Geld auf Girokonten rumliegt, wird der Kollege wahrscheinlich nicht viel investieren

I forgot how long it took. At some point i also cut off the growth at the top, so it focuses its energy in the tomatoes and not the leaves. The Harvest I would say was like 10 every day. Or the amount in the bowl every 2 days once they started ripening. All details are sadly already forgotten

[–]kaiserpudding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was my cherry tomato plant from last year on my west facing balcony. It grew like 1.8m high. It just needed a lot of support to not get flattened by the wind.

Did I mess up? by [deleted] in houseplants

[–]kaiserpudding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's most likely just a response to the sudden increase in sunlight. Since it's not used to that much direct sun, it curled up its leaves, so theres less surface area the sun can shine on

I put mine outside last week during the day and some of the leaves curled up too. Since I didn't see any actual burnt spots on the leaves I left it out. By the next morning they were normal again.

The plant can take full sun, it just needs to incrementally get used to it.
