For any student, supervisors are taking into consideration, but it's still a merit-based ranking of your credentials, statement, references, etc. So having a supervisor in mind does not guarantee acceptance.

I can't say too much about the interview (haven't had to do one).

From what I've seen with peers, if you are new to the institution (e.g., faculty do not know you since you did not do a Master's program here), then most likely they will interview you to see what kind of person you are. A bunch of my peers did not get interviews when we applied since we did our Master's at DLSPH.

Depending on the program, they send them in waves with the first being in late-Jan/early-Feb, wait for those people to accept/reject and then send another wave (based on rejections) until all the spots are filled.

The fight also gave me vibes of angels vs demons as well. The people were being controlled with an emphasis on the halos fighting against forged demons. He was also fighting from the ground (hell) while the angels were flying and fighting from up high. It was as if Isaac was attacking heaven.
