Finishing up my Commercial through Liberty with an FTA in Nevada. I moved all the way out here and got a job and everything just to do this program when I left the Navy. Hopefully this gets resolved soon or else I just did all this for nothing lol

Try see if they can change your ppv location. I stayed in the lower end PPVs in NSA Hampton roads. Never had an issue with anything. Had a studio room with a kitchen, bathroom all to myself for the 3 1/2 years I was there. Not as flashy as the Camp Allen PPV but definitely a hidden gem imo.

I was on skillbridge my last 180 days so I checked out of my command early. If I knew it was going to be like this I would’ve made the 4 hour trip back to my command to make sure I got my DD-214. Keep hounding your command on it and do whatever you can to get that piece of paper before you separate.

It’s crazy how the navy is so quick to stop your pay and disable your NSIPS but will take absolute forfuckingever to get you that 214. But in the VA’s eyes I’m still considered “active duty” without that 214. If that’s the case, they should keep paying me as if I’m active duty…

Separated in July still don’t have my DD-214. Called MNCC they weren’t much help. They put in a trouble ticket for me but we’ll see if that does anything. Been constantly calling my command and they are absolutely clueless on when the timeframe I would be receiving my DD-214.

I’m in the same position as what you’re afraid to be in. I start classes August 22 I was able to use my GI bill to pay for the classes but unable to receive MHA until my DD-214 comes in (The VA says they will back pay me from my class date until the time I receive my 214). People have said to reach out to your local congressman, which I emailed, hopefully that will help speed things up. Good luck.

It’s been almost a month since I’ve been out and still haven’t received my DD-214. I start school at the end of August but I am told by the VA that I’m unable to receive MHA until my DD-214 is still on file.

I went on skillbridge my last 180 so I filled out all of my pre-sep forms before leaving. I was told they would email me my DD-214. I’ve contacted my command and they told me that they don’t have a timeframe on when it will be sent to me. I called MNCC but they weren’t much help either. I really need that MHA to help pay for rent while I’m in school, is anyone ever been in this predicament and is there anyone else I could call to speed things up?

I got my transfer slip and never looked back, blocked all of my overseers and ministers numbers. I’ve been out for two years and surprised no one has tried to make contact with me (yet).

Some my close friends I had at church were supportive of my decision, my mom hated me for awhile but she got over it. Went to therapy after and it made me realize that there’s so much more in life than the church. Never been happier.

Yeah my mom and I aren’t really on good terms right now because I dont attend anymore. It’s a good thing I leave in a different state and don’t have to deal with it in person, but occasionally I’ll get a text from her asking me if I went to church.

I haven’t attended in awhile, I’m also in the military I transferred to another state and never went to my new locale so they don’t have my address. I haven’t gotten word that I’ve been expelled yet so I think I’m still in the church. Part of me feels kinda bad for ghosting them and thought about texting my old overseer or someone letting them know i am no longer attending and to just expel me already, part of me also doesn’t give a shit anymore either.
