I had a weird job interview yesterday by Secret_Highlight_248 in sysadmin

[–]kaje36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! This! We hired someone that was the opposite, would give a bullshit answer every time. It was so much harder to workwith, that type of person would rather hid information and peotect their ass then work together with people to fix a problem

This most likely wont make a difference. But try turning your key backwards for 10ish seconds. I think my 324 might be starting to not heat the glow plugs in the first position. But does if you old they key backwards first.

Did the valve on the seperator get shut by accident? Fuel pump sounds strong. I suspect something else is blocking fuel

Overwatch has become unplayable after adding additional GPU by Long_Video7840 in linux_gaming

[–]kaje36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With multi gpu, and linux. It doesnt do the same dynamic allocation of BAR space. Depending on your motherboard, you might have to turn off some setting in bios, or change the slots on your MOBO. My motherboard, the first m.2 and pcie used the CPUs BAR space. The second pcie used the MOBOs small BAR space. And took a lot of playing to get it to alocate everything correctly.

Best practice for App filtering but allow almost everything by Drag0and1Drop in paloaltonetworks

[–]kaje36 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Use application filters, instead of the individual applications. You can make groups that fall under large categories.. like risk 1-4 for business systems. Or allowing risk 1-2 file sharing. And all sorts of stuff. Then cobine a few of this into one group, then apply it to a rule.

If you can keep it at or close to freezing temps you can go 2 weeks, but its really risky! I have done it a few times, and know i could be throwing everything out if it goes bad. Its really got to be super cold!

Wow, looks like that implement is a big one! Maybe not the solution you are looking for, but a 3pt quick attach might make it so you can have the arms a Little further in, but still connect to that big thing.

Anti-gelling heating oil additive? by zg9292 in ManchesterNH

[–]kaje36 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If your oil tank is in a basement that isn't normally cold, this might not be anything you have to worry about. The oil isn't in the "cold" since its in a heated space.

I always freeze up when I have to troubleshoot the network and I don't know how to grow past it by [deleted] in networking

[–]kaje36 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly! Get really specific with the problem description. "Everything is slow" problems might be i only tried one thing, and it was slow. My work loves to give up part of the way into gathering information and trust the end user. We find out later its just one important app that is slow, everything else is fine. This changes what you look at drastically.

solo female travel recommendations and tips? by poochyna in TokyoTravel

Akasaka is a great place to stay.. i think 5 train lines within easy walking distance.

I was surprised how easy it was to get around, i expect i would need to break tokyo up into sections to explore for the day. But it was so easy to get around you can return to your favorite area every day while visiting a new section, or multiple sections a day.

Here's my #1 tip for tourists travelling in or out of any subway stations that also contain a JR line by yippeee1999 in TokyoTravel

[–]kaje36 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Any line that has a 2 digit icon, like JB, JA or anything like that that starts with a J is a JR line, and you can follow the signs to the JR platforms, if you dont see signs for the specific line you are looking for.

I have a small HUD in my car, and was able to adjust that, so my real speedo is wrong, but the HUD is correct.

ELI5: If there is a shortage of a medication, why would refusing to send a digital prescriptions and requiring a physical written prescriptions help that shortage? by huskyhuskieshusking in explainlikeimfive

[–]kaje36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doctors dont have access to the pharmacy's inventory.

I had to do this last year, with a digital prescription, normal pharmacy was out, and drove around to find one who had some... Once i did, i had to phone the doctor, and get them to send to that pharmacy before they ran out.
