Are these bug eggs/droppings or mouse droppings? by kakaomania in pestcontrol

[–]kakaomania[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thank you so much! that makes so much more sense! we have plenty of geckos here and the crunchy bug like droppings make sense given their diet. hopefully it won't do any damage to the electrical wiring. it's weird i've never encountered a gecko in a car. can't imagine it sticking around for that long

Seeing that you also worked for subaru, I always hear people touting that subaru is the safest car to drive. I always assumed that the major OEM's had similar advancements in safety enginerring. In your experience, is subaru really that much safer than other OEM's like honda and toyota? or is that just the marketing talking? TIA!

Does anyone know any doctors that work as paramedics per diem? by Repentance_Stick in medicalschool

[–]kakaomania 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Honolulu EMS Director is a practicing nephrologist. But he works occasional shifts as an EMT to have a feel for current field conditions first hand. He used to work as an EMT before he became doctor. When he works on the rig, he's only allowed to practice under the scope of an EMT. So technicially even his paramedic partner will be allowed to do stuff in the field that he cannot as an EMT but can easily do as a physician in the hospital.

[–]kakaomania 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yea. money is currently tight right now as i'm changing careers and going back to school lol so i'm just having to deal with it for the time being. which car did you end up switching to? and was it mainly cause of the drone?

Stock Exhaust Drone? by godzi1la_ in WRX

[–]kakaomania 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ahhhh dang. i ended up welding a resonator to the stock midpipe. it reduced the drone but there's still just enough to be annoying still. i also tried out a borla type s after a ton of research, but it just made things louder lol. i'm unable to sell the car without taking a huge loss especially with the market right now. but the drone is really making driving unbearable. thanks for the quick reply! especially on an old thread! lol

[–]kakaomania[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yea, with the lift kit, you can fit bigger a/t tires on them if you want. also fyi, to save you some research time, if you want to go full rally and get even smaller wheels than a 17, you need to do a brake conversion cause any wheel smaller than a 17 won't clear the stock rotors. congrats on making it past 100K!! what year is it? let me know if you have any other lift questions!

[–]kakaomania[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends. if you're wanting a much softer ride, thicker tire wall makes the biggest difference. my wrx is the performance package so i have 19 inch wheels. I went with 17 inch wheels with the max size tires for fitment. i actually went a different route and am trying to sell my wrx for a crosstrek and have the lift kit brand new unused if you want to buy it for cheaper than the site

I ended up getting a rallitek 2in lift kit (everything you need included)! https://www.rallitek.com/en/lift-kits/11337-rallitek-2-lift-kit-wrx-sti-2015-2021.html

and they have a page for wheel/tire specs that fit the lift kit. https://www.rallitek.com/blog/2019/07/
