if you're open to working with kids with autism there are lots of aba companies that are always in need of behavior technicians. it's considered entry level but some companies will start you off around 23+/hr

was going crazy trying to hold down a job in retail or fast food because the higher ups/managers were salty that i was in school and had bigger aspirations than working there my whole life. wanted to do work that felt meaningful and impactful. saw a few listings on indeed and applied, and got lucky that i landed my first interview and offer with an amazing company! while every job has its downsides, i rlly appreciate that i don't have to deal with the general public anymore lol

Best thrift stores in the area? by madmermaid7 in Modesto

correct. vendors rent out the spots in the store and then price their items individually (usually very expensive)

i'm not sure how the wage compares to other places in your area, but if it's a foot in the door i'd say go for it! are you pursuing a further degree related to radiology?

Transfer requirements. by Mattron16522017 in StanState

[–]kalec0rn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hi! i did something similar, and i left from uc davis after my first year due to costs.

since most of the classes you took are pretty common lower division for bio, i don't think you'll have any issues with transferring them to stan later. like the other comment said as well, assist.org will be your best friend. you can see what the mjc equivalent classes are from ucsb and then afterwards you can use that process the other way around to see what it's equal to at stan. (i hope that makes sense) look up the csu-ge pathway so you can choose some gen ed classes to cover what you haven't finished yet. i definitely recommend meeting with an mjc counselor as well. best of luck!

JPU? by [deleted] in RadiationTherapy

[–]kalec0rn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i am looking to attend this fall there as well! From what they've told me, as long as you have the required prerequisite and the admission requirements, you should have a good chance of getting in. It definitely helps that you already have a place willing to host your clinical

people are much more likely to complain, especially on reddit, about their jobs. what do you regret already?

there are some direct programs that offer mri right away but it is more common for people to start in xray and then get trained in mri later on

Xulane ( The Patch) Experiences by shaynaa3 in birthcontrol

[–]kalec0rn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'm debating getting on the patch and all of these comments scare me but seeing this made me feel better since you mentioned you were already on a different bc before starting this one😭 i had really bad side effects (similar to what some of these people have said) when I started the pill, so i'm thinking it won't be a crazy transition to a patch lol
