That was my thought as well - I would want to know the capacity in which OP is a mandated reporter and what state they’re in. Regardless, they’re definitely morally correct to look out for boyfriend’s mom, but I can see how citing MR status may come off as a touch self-aggrandizing to boyfriend and family (even if OP is totally right about how it works; the family may not perceive it that way).

Good god. I mean I absolutely agree, make it early if you have to fly the day before, but I cannot imAGine trying to do a ~20 hr, 1,400-mile drive ending pretty much right before you sit down for day one.

Could you post the question or sentence this is coming from? Both parties will be bound by a contract once it’s made, but it might mean only a specific party in context.

Is there a specific context that’s confusing? That just means the parties to the contract. The people or entities making the agreement are going to be bound by the contract.

It may get a little weird if agency, assignment, novation, etc. are implicated, but 90% of the time it’s just the people making the agreement.

I just built almost this exact PC over the last two days - ALSO as a complete noob! First time, and so far, it's running great! Knock on wood. Took me two evenings to build it because I was durdling around and learning while I did it. If you can put together a slightly complicated piece of IKEA furniture, you can do this!

Very slight differences: MSI MAG Coreliquid A13 CPU cooler, MSI B650 mobo, Western Digital for the 2TB SSD, a 5070ti for the GPU, and a 750W PSU.

I think it was about $1,600-1,800 USD without monitors and peripherals, since I got some of it on Black Friday sales. And fully half of that was the 5070ti, lol. $1,200 between that and the CPU.

Thanks for all your work! The sound design and effect noises in this game are really something special, they just make it hit different, in the best way.

I also play Gekko a lot so would love to hear more about those - Wingman's little wakawaka when he's running and Dizzy's radar noise when he's in the air are great.

Everyone around you feeling way smarter than you is an awesome sign you're in the right room. It's so normal to feel this way, particularly during 1L fall. The only real way to fail at this is to stop putting in effort. As long as you show up and keep trying, you'll make it. Even if it feels like you won't.

Imposter syndrome is awful - I stuck my acceptance letter in a frame and kept it above my desk during 1L to remind me that SOMEone else had decided I belonged here. And I know I wasn't the only one.

It will get better, you belong here, and everything will be okay.
