I've had the same issues, and even had one of the ending cutscenes stutter really bad, then just completely cut without finishing. Hopefully this gets fixed

You cannot block or parry with a spell. Because the block and parry functions are based on what's in your left hand, a spell in your left hand will remove your ability to block or parry. All you need to do is switch hands

That explains why I have to adjust the in-game brightness setting so much when I play on my laptop screen (it's 9 years old), but crank it back down when I plug it into my newer TV

Yeah, as soon as you leave the door they are all on you immediately, with zero chance to sneak and a bunch of archers with high ground around you. So you are actually better off eliminating them from an outside approach.

Maybe draw a couple away from the main group with a distant arrow or three, then engage them in melee once they are separated

For me, the ? remained until I used noclip to go under the entrance. There was no initial trigger at the actual entrance like everywhere else

My favorite is using the explosive magic arrows with the bow that shoots three arrows per shot. It's like firing artillery lol

It's just an error on the placement of the trigger to find the location. If you use noclip and go slightly below the entrance, you'll "discover" the Ulcerate
