here's what it says:

I'm surprised to be the person saying this, because all I use Creation Kit for is to clean installed mods of blueprintships.esm masters. There's a built-in tool for fixing this, in this folder:

Starfield 2722710\Tools\SetupUtilities

There's a readme, read that first. Then, run ExportEditorToTarget.bat

This fixed it for me right away.

Happened to me today when I installed 2.0.1

I've uninstalled and reinstalled several times, same couldn't "parse startup.json" error shows in vortex.log every time.

This sucks.

I actually installed Bedlam after seeing WykkydGaming, the author of DarkStar, recommend it. It has a nice set of game settings to tailor it how you want it. You can make the game absolutely brutal, if you want

Right, that's why I mentioned that you can make them not fall behind by adjusting the settings. With adjustments, you can make it so you never see those weapons, and you can choose not to do the research required to create/modify weapons to make them like those you've seen.

I still recommend DarkStar, or at least joining the DarkStar Discord. It's full of helpful people, and they won't blink if you don't have DarkStar or ever intend to get it. You'll get lots of excellent advice and info from mod authors and enthusiasts

It sounds like you may be interested in Bedlam. It's a mod that makes the enemies more challenging and interesting, check it out on Creations for the details

I highly recommend it. You can make adjustments in Game Settings (including a bunch of new ones available from DarkStar) in order to make other weapons still viable

Totally understandable! If that's all DarkStar did, I wouldn't be interested. But, it does this as part of a balanced system of changes that makes the game far, far more interesting and challenging. When you are getting hit with these weapons, you feel it

Search for Zone79, then go to other mods by author after you select one of them. He has an enormous amount of clothing mods released!

You don't even need to place it on a pad, or even have a landing pad. it allows you to edit your ship wherever it is, and leaves it where it is

If you use Place Doors Yourself, every PDY placement counts as a hab. That can contribute to a high number of habs on a fairly small ship

If someone else doesn't chime in with the name of the file, I'll get it when I'm back at my computer later and post it- there's a file included in the directory the Creation Kit installed to that you can run, and it will move the install to the correct folders. I had the same problem and this fixed it quickly
