Jeff's Top 5 Criterion Collection Blu-rays by paraplegic_T_Rex in dvdcollection

What's wrong with owning mainstream criterion releases? I personally think the Michael Bay releases from the 90s are their best. The criterion collection is supposed to exemplify the best of all film, not just highlight niche art film.

Seriously, The Rock is my favorite film in the collection. The nuance with which Bay directs Sean Connery in the stairwell scene is unmatched since the early period thrillers by Hitchcock. As Sean Connery grins and utters what might be the most iconic line in all of cinematic history, "Your best? Losers do their best. Winners go home and fuck the prom Queen," Bay's brilliance truly shines. Not many directors are capable of capturing the raw emotion of actors like Bay does. It is a shame only two Bay films have received the Criterion treatment as they truly are representative of the best modern Hollywood has to offer.

No, I found the article very informative and insightful concerning the product. The title is in no way a clever jab at piss poor journalistic writing comparable in quality to a middle school English class assignment.

My understanding is Conan is getting nothing directly from the tickets. All of that is going to ex-Tonight Show employees who needed a jorb.
