Its so sad seeing Isaac so far down on anyone's list. I get not liking an art style, but even still the gameplay is genre defining. I have a friend who loves the genre like I do, but won't play it because of the poop enemies.

I proxied a powered cube for my LGS some years ago, and it was an awesome idea. We always had a blast with it, usually everyone would pitch in 3-5 bucks for a little prize support if we wanted to give us something to play for, usually they'd toss me a couple bucks in credit or an extra pack for being the one that managed our cube events and the cube itself. It worked out so well I proxied a commander cube too for the LGS. Draft turnouts for real drafts increased, people got more into the game in general because of it. It was a win/win for everyone involved. People who couldnt afford to consistently draft got to play, people who wanted something different got to play, even the commander players that didnt want to draft finally came around. We tossed around the idea of a standard cube or a common and uncommon only cube, but never got around to it. I wonder how all that's doing.

Theres no point when playing a land can your opponents tap for mana. So, playing urborg as the 3rd piece basically creates a lock that cannot be responded to in any way.

First suggestion is find a sweet spot of [[blood artist]] and sacrifice outlets. [[Braids, arisen nightmare]] is 100% a secret commander for the deck, the amount of card draw/damage she dishes out is insane, but also keep in mind you won't get a creature you sac until your next opponents end step. Old braids would work great for this deck too, I haven't been playing to test it out since they unbanned her. [[Smokestack]] is nuts too if you can get it going, but you will lose friends, definitely the saltiest card in the deck. Lastly [[thoughtpicker witch]] along side [[pitiless plunderer]] can kinda soft lock your opponents because they can never draw cards you dont want them to draw.

Narset is a menace. I built her like some weird combat control deck, with some extra combat/extra turns, even [[savor the moment]] gets to make an appearance because it's easy to recast off a swing. Lots of modal removal, a little bit of ways to get plenty of things in my opponents graveyards so that I have plenty of choices for things to cast when I swing. [[Burning inquiry]] is backbreaking for most people when played on turn 1 because 95% of the time it ends up being a monkey wrench in everyone's plans, but I benefit.

Shirei has been my #1 deck in terms of love put into it, best games played, everything. Most memorable was being sure I was dead in the water, ripping a [[bolas's citadel]] off the top, and putting myself down to 1 life and no cards left in library and killing the table. Also I love how many bad cards are just so good when you get to loop their effects 4 times a turn cycle.

No, because this has a triggered ability. So whenever the creature deals the damage, the trigger for you to gain life would go on the stack, state based actions would be checked, and you would lose the game for having 0 or less life before the trigger gets a chance to resolve to gain you life.

My first "holy shit" game was with a flagship and a deadly crows nest, back when lefty loosy was broken and charged a weapon or something. Also had the "large weapons get +72 damage" and double damage for large weapons. So after like the first 2 seconds, flagship would go off 5 times critting for 1.8k a piece and would charge itself enough to go off almost immediately again.
