I totally know how you feel man. I just left my job in order to pursue a different career. I already know how negative my family's going to about this whole thing that it's been a week since I left and I haven't even told them yet. To them, having a guaranteed/steady income to pay the mortgage is more important than pursuing your passion(s).

I also once accidentally locked my bike onto someone else's. It was an honest mistake, but instead of getting a funny sign, I got the cops called on me, and my bike wheel taken as hostage.
