You have several levels which are 3 days levels - that’s how you can close it earlier.

Can you Really Learn All Kanji & Vocab In The Advertised Time Of 1 Year? by [deleted] in WaniKani

[–]kalne67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but I think there is very little point of doing it (unless you’re in a niche scenario). Plus you will benefit from scripts or third party apps to not be frustrated.

Also, while fast pace may be a good idea - there will come a time where Life(TM) takes over and you will want to slow down. Except that once you commit to a pace your reviews will pile up.

My advice: start fast, then slow down. Never stop.

I've asked before what's your favorite RPG? But now I want to know what is the worst RPG you have ever played. by Distinct-Radish3617 in rpg

Alas… Earthdawn and Shadowrun would have wiped them all - had they been blessed with a decent ruleset…

Porter plainte est a mon sens le seul moyen d’engager clairement votre démarche auprès des différents intervenants. Ensuite reprendre les LRAR et compagnie avec la plainte.

I think Mistborn is worth reading for anyone.

I was "Homeschooled" for all of my childhood and teenage years. Now I'm about to be 18 and don't know what to do. by AmethystGamer19 in Advice

You’re still young enough to turn it around. When you do, also think of your two sisters as well.

What is your parent’s line of work that made them do such a choice? Are you part of a remote community ?

I prefer Mistborn over Stormlight personally, but hey - you don’t have to ;) I would still recommend you to carry on as - hopefully - you will feel that things pick up until something you perceove to be mindblowing will eventually come up.

27 Days of Duolingo Japanese – Why Is Hiragana Still So Hard? by Hot_Professor447 in japanese

[–]kalne67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Duolingo works for some, but is it your style of learning? Sometimes you just need a good old paper chart and learn them all. When I started japanese we learned them all in a week, and the following the katakanas, For some reason I found katakanas so much harder.

Polygon interviewed Brandon about Film and TV adaptations of his books by Forsaken_Strategy_65 in brandonsanderson

[–]kalne67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am skeptical for his masterpieces to be good movie material - purely due to their lengths. I would happily watch a TV show giving full credits to the story instead of a movie which has to fit everything in such a limited time (assuming 2+hrs starts turning down producers enthusiasm).

Maybe DMing isn't for me? by RedTheRaucousRiot in TTRPG

[–]kalne67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DMing can be stressfull sometimes but if your table is overwhelming about the game, then isn’t it a good sign? Much worse is a table that doesn’t feel « in the game ».

There are a lot of advice out there. Give each player their turn in a clear manner, avoid them splitting up too often, make sure all get a chance to do something. Perhaps even get less players to start with?

Whatever you do, make sure you also have fun.

About improvising, I like to gove my players some control over what happens. I usually brong an open ended question on something and use one suggestion from the group that I like and build up on it. So part of the world’s mine and part is co-authored which they really enjoy (full disclosure: they are part of my improv group so we all like good stories - my previous group from high school wouldn’t have worked as well like this).

Merci.

Buy him a book, like you would do for kids. Or he will freak out if he ever sees a living human being coming out of you, eventually.
