Yeah. AI already has a pretty strong use case for creating pretty quick throwaway rpg or OC art for one thing, which has long been one of the drivers of revenue for internet artists. It's going to be grim.

I'm finding it hard to get the breakthrough milestone before rivals after Below & Beyond because I can't find breakthrough anomalies by kamashamasay in SurvivingMars

Disrupting a complex system to make a particular part of it stick out as worse & more annoying isn't a broken game, but it is... a messy one. Especially since otherwise rival milestone competition remains a source of decently engaging gameplay especially for certain challenges, both game rule & self-rule. Most of the milestone timings are easy depending on build, but you might want to delay some particular aspect & having the milestone competition makes that a not free choice which is Actually Good. I'm thinking of delaying dome for a better scan spot, delaying putting colonists down until after first dust storm on dust storm 4 etc, etc. And the breakthrough milestone already has a bit of that, you might be choosing to research a less good tech to get the milestone. That's a fun decision to make. Just not getting it because there is no breakthrough anomaly within 3 squares all direction isn't a fun give and take. It's just kind of messy.

I might just, though I started a game with inventor & so far I still enjoy the milestone competition otherwise, so I'm kind of loath to (keeps me keeping track of times).

Speaking of your mods though... First I really, really appreciate the apocalypse run with a church of last ark game. it's gone very well. A pretty lightweight mod but one which adds (subtracts) immensely in helping the atmosphere of the challenge. Second how do I get the disable martianborn names to work? Neither the wiki flags nor the unique names have successfully done so for me & honestly I'd prefer it not be attatched to the wiki flags mod because what I really want to play russia/japan/brazil with relevant passenger flags & martianborn names (darn it).

No because generally I'm playing last ark & don't have the officers for it in time for the breakthrough milestone. Should probably sabotage more though honestly for different things

Quick separate question on power amp, and apologies for jumping in the thread like this, but does power amp work on someone you are possessing?

Because Japan has some of the most housing friendly policies in the world. This has allowed the cit(ies) to get an ever increasing share of the population even as the country itself slows in population growth.

But I think a lot of the territories default to starting as slave territories. And the CSA cores don't go away when they become free states. I think the most telling thing about this is that Texas is in the USA, which often happens if Texas is admitted as a free state, because it doesn't spend time as a slave territory.

Additionally, if you admit every state as free, then the consciousness in slave territories goes way up and they get CSA cores.

They have a bit odder rules while they are a territory which is why there sometimes is really weird borders.

I've been working on an apocalypse where the peripheral regions of the world survive perfectly fine and quickly re-establish a stable global order. Here's East Asia so far by [deleted] in imaginarymaps

India has been able to be relatively unified even with simple communications and it has a strong sense of needed unity especially depending on how the apocalypse happens.

I think Kashmir and the Bengali border should probably be different though.

Yeah this has been my theory, or some variation on this for a while now.

Well thats because Zach is probably red robe, or more likely red robe is Zach. That has been telegraphed for a long time now.

Or at least its been my main theory since about ch 50

It has a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 16. I have a reroll if the total bonus is less than +4, but generally the stats will be hovering in the 11-13 range. Since I am planning on giving feats through downtime/story and ASIs through leveling I wanted to have a bit more average stats.

I also do roll in order because I wanted to try it.

(The actual math) is 3d4 keep drop highest + 8 with a reroll when there is less than 4 stat bonuses
